Really, I wouldn't be worrying about a few cents here and there. You're just wasting your time. If you really want to make the big bucks, start building up backlinks and get traffic to your website. And not forum links- those are virtually useless. I read a report done on a popular webmaster forum where a member with tens of thousands of posts said the links he put in his signature got little effect from Google. I could dig it up if you're interested. The sooner you stop looking at the ground and nit picking over a few cents, the better off you'll be. Keep your head up high and don't get discouraged. Keep growing, building, and creating until you have a huge network that Google can't ignore. After all, 1,000 impressions is nothing. Start worrying when you get 100,000.
I know, adsense is freaking weird haha...thanks for the pointers folks. Also, thanks zac...its good to see ppl with such high post counts helping the new guys! I hear or read rather that backlinks and more n more websites (with good content) + seo is the winning formula...its just trying to get there. Im not sure if you read my other post, but i messed up adsense and got disabled. So im started afresh (only been going 2 months) put i have learned a few important things so far. Already had 30,000ppl last month, but its a slow start this month...only 5,000 But my blog has reached 7000 in the past 3 weeks and rising. Not got much in the way of backlinks, so when im starting my websites i will try to optimize each page as i go along and create lots of backlinks (will need to read up on that too) But are right, i need to get my head down and keep at it! A wise man once said..."good things come to those who wait"...in fact that was from a Guinness ad...but hey i think it still applies
Use Filter to cutout low paying ads (Mainly MFAs). Then optimize your ad placement to get maximum CTR.
Gotta love the interweb eh...full of experts Imz so freaking awesome, I knowz so much more than you...noob lolz!!!!11!!! anyway...back to the post. Thanks for the suggestions..i have saved the topic and will try it all once my adsense account is active! Cheers folks!
You are using adsense and adbrite at the same time is this allowed? I thought google forbid putting ads with similar format from other PPC provider
were the 6 clicks all made by the same user right in a row? either way, there's somethin weird with that
