posts? lol doesn't prove anything (at least for this case because webmaster/designer/promoter working for company A will post in a forums for whats so ever reason and it cannot be taken in to consideration.) You need legal documents to prove and should respond to the case in time with physical hard copies via postal mail and or fax. Should have a recorded evidence of the post (a postal receipt would be good enough), this is because you cannot rely on postal department that your response documents will reach in time.
Not "might" it "is" the reason, we worked that out days ago.. What i'm saying is his host has had the DMCA served on them now also, and not just Google. Read the home page, it explains it all: http://www.chillingeffects.org/
I didnt check this guys url since my first reply or so. I just checked yesterday and found its down. Thought to ask the thread started about it. Seems he has not logged in since 3rd (as I checked it yesterday). Yes I understood what you meant but I just wanted to be optimistic so I said might, ultimately its the thread started who has to and will deal with the case. The reason for me to reply (first reply in this thread) is just to share (not to give the statements) one of my friends case which he thought a (crap note)
Dear AdvancedFuture, I had the same problem a few days ago. My site was coming on good keywords and on top 2-5 rankings, and one fine day, I saw all results had gone down to below 100. I searched the internet for solutions, and found that a site had copied my content. Since this domain-name was older than mine, it was assumed that I had copied the content. However, I contacted Google's office, told them about the problem. They were supportive and told me to contact the website to get the content removed. I contacted them and after a battle for 5-7 days which included me asking my lawyer to send a threatening email, the website removed the copied content. Google then re-crawled my website and I got my ranking back. Moral of story: Just sitting and watching your site fall would not serve anything. Please contact Google and tell them about the problem. They are generally very supportive and would suggest you how to get out of this mess. best of luck
