Find something to sell or promote on your blog - just one thing that pays well. Write an article every day - three to five is better - and post it on your blog every day. The article, of course, should sell or promote whatever it is you are selling or promoting. Use a service like OnlyWire (http://www.onlywire.com/) to promote the post to around 20 social bookmarking services. Submit your blog feed to Feedage (http://www.feedage.com/) after making every post. Write more articles and submit them to EzineArticles (http://www.ezinearticles.com/) several times a week. Start a Squidoo (http://www.squidoo.com/) lens and write relevant articles and post them on it with a link back to your blog. Do the same with every site you can find that allows you to set up a free blog. Link some of the blog network (all pointing back to your main blog) together. ok, i am going to make this very simple and plan. keeping it real K.I.S.S. content, promote, customize blog, content, promote, content, promote, etc. customizing the blog is just me, i always change mine. my visitors never what they may find.
