Please tell me why google is so complicated? I have just read that link exchanges are also against the google guidelines. As well as buying and selling links and so on. If so much is not allowed how am I supposed to make link building for my sites? Social networking, article and web directories and that's it? All the guys who have PR5+ sites without being penalized, how did you do it?
I believe you have totally misunderstood what it meant Link exchange is ONLY against google's guidelines when: Links intended to manipulate PageRank Links to web spammers or bad neighborhoods on the web Excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging ("Link to me and I'll link to you.") Buying or selling links that pass PageRank Buying and selling links is LEGAL so long as its not meant to manipulate PR, hence the a rel="nofollow" attribute. It is totally fine to submit your site to article directories, social bookmarking and directories The keywords are "related" and "quality" You dont build links for the sake of manipulation of PR and search results, you build links that is of quality and related to your site
Yah, kind of a "which came first the chicken or the egg" type problem. Something to think about though. I have both PR 5 and PR6 sites. as well as a lot of 2s and 3s. My PR6 site is one of my lowest traffic sites. PR does not mean that the person working on it is a SEO expert. My best performing sites have pretty low PR, There are many other factors that make a bigger difference in the performance of the site than PR.
Exactly, so you start out black hat then transition to gray hat and finally once your making some money switch to white hat.
lol! I dont think you know what youre saying people are earning thousands of $$$ using BH theyre only useless to people who are afraid to take risks and people who doesnt understand how the system works
It's not complicated at all. Their job is to make a search engine that returns relevant useful results when you search for something you are interested in finding. Your job is to make a relevant useful site that appears within the results of you intended audience. No complications at all. The complications occur when Google trys to prevent gaming the system and a website owner trys to game the system. The Internet was never intended as a commercial medium. But that's is what it has become. So as money drives the results for both Google and the Webmaster there becomes a conflict of interest to Natural Search Results. The bottom line is there is so much economic pressure on both sides that "Playing by the Rules" is more of an ethical question than a practical one.
Exactly the point, a site with good content needs a little or no self link building techniques. All other sites will link to it regardless of the fact whether the original webmaster goes through with a good promotion plan. And reciprocaling link for PR purposes is a sin, so is link buying and selling.... its only fair to the end users.... think about it.
I strongly disagree with this statement, google may penalized your site by doing these things.. If your doing black hat technique, be very good at it because this is a matter of winning or losing the game. If you lose, you may find yourself crying in the end because your site has nowhere to be found in SERP rankings, they may even de-indexed your site once you disobey their TOS.
Well what are link exchanges for? Not to get more backlinks thus hoping to increase PR? I don't know what abd neighbourhood means, but I have a poker site and exchanging with other poker sites can't be wrong or? Excessive link exhanges means? What if I make 100 link exchanges? Again: buying and selling link is o get more backlinks thus hoping to increase PR.
some buddy said" you have more then 50 outbound links from a single page which is against google,s guidelines so i can not exchange link on that page" so i came to know that "under 50 outbound links/page is good" no meter reciprocal or one way but not sold or purchased.
