...because they are employing adsense arbitrage. I'm sure y'all Adsense Publishers see a nytimes.com in your Google Adsense ads. I've seen it many times. Now go to www.nytimes.com and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You'll see their Google Adsense ads. So authority sites are exempted from Adsense Arbitrage? "Do No Evil" - Yeah right.
NYtimes is what one would call a content site. Since content sites are not specifically optimized for funneling the adwords-arrived user through to adsense, I don't see why they are breaking TOS.
Not to mention they're altering the appearance of the Adsense ads :-( Google definitely has a double standard.
I don't see the issue with their ads. The NYT is a premium publisher which means they get to customize their ads to an extent beyond what normal users can do.
When you spend the amount that NYTimes.com does on advertising, then I think you have a right to complain. Their site will offer more useful content to more people in a single day then you will ever produce in your lifetime.
what i meant was they are also using google adwords ( thru content network ) to drive traffic to their sites - also known as Adsense Arbitrage. If you must know, a lot of adsense publishers lost their accounts some months ago because the Big G labels Adsense Arbitrage as a shady business model. If you dont know what an Adsense Arbitrage then I suggest you do some research first.
What are those accounts called premium publishers? or something The could be the account they have, I heard(dont know if it is true.) But you get a new set of ads, and you can do a lot of rule bending and etc, and new features. A lot of perks

OK heres a screenshot for morons like you who happen to be on an adsense thread but dont have a website and an adsense account. Don't even bother trying to find that site. Its not even mine.
