What a little research can do...

Using some free tools and my adwords account, I have come across an exciting keyword...

This keyword gets 95,000 search per month on average!

This keyword has only 30,000 results pages in Google, which makes it entirely possible to get on the first page of google with proper SEO and good quality... So let's say I make it to the first page... so 1 out of 10 searchers will click on my site, that would be about 9500 per month, or 320 per day... My CTR for my blog is about 7%... so let's say 22 clickers for the day.

This keyword's estimated CPC is $21-$31

I am not saying that each click will bring me $21-$31 dollars, but one of my websites has a keyword that has an estimated CPC of $13.00-$17.00, and each click brings me about $1.50... So using simple math, the estimated CPC of my keyword multiplied by 10% gets me the actual per click I get paid...

So take this special keyword, and multiply the CPC of $21-$31 and I should get about $2.50 per click...

22 clickers per day at an average $2.50 per click... $55.00. Not bad right? This is a medium case scenario...

Let's imagine if I get a top 3 spot in google for that keyword, I could possibly get 30% of those searchers to my website... that would be 950 visitors per day. 950 * 7%(CTR), 66 clicks per day... possibly 66*2.5=$165...

Of course, these are just assumptions, but you see what I am talking about...

Do some research, there are some good ones out there.

The question is... should I just do a free wordpress blog, or maybe a free blogster blog?

Any veterans have advice? should I just go ahead and buy a domain and add it to my hostgator account? Is it that much better of a route to go?

Are you aware of the fact that most CPC guesstimates are for adwords for search? If you factor in a factor of 10 in CPC bewteen search / content adwords, then your calculations look all the less promising.

My calculations were based on my other keyword, which pays $1.50 on average with a CPC estimate of $14-$18... so its in consideration of those numbers. So regardless of what the CPC is taking in consideration, my numbers are based off of actually PPC that I recieve.

    Help me understand something...

If I make this niche keyword site in wordpress, will I need to keep adding content to keep it ranked well in google because it is a blog?

Or can I add like 10 good quality articles and use it like a static site?

Wordpress would be good for me, as I have a great theme for adsense.

And also... can you add plugins on free wordpress sites? or only the ones where you host it?
