Hey, I like the content. It's pretty nice to read your blog posts detailing the comparison on what you've made between France and America. I'm sure a lot of people coming from those countries will find it useful.

 

This blog is really awesome not only in design but also in content. I love the manner in which you're presenting things. That's why I bookmarked and make a comment on it also!

 

Very nice start. I like the color scheme.

My only suggesting is to increase the size of your font. These old eyes had a hard time reading your content and that's WITH reading glasses. LOL

 

V. Nice website, though I also agree that the text size needs upping!
Also, what font do you use for the main body text, is it Times New Roman? - Sans Serif fonts are read more easily on screens compared to Serif font. Serif fonts should mainly be used for printouts only.

Sans Serif (e.g Tahoma) = Screen/Display
Serif (e.g. Times New Roman) = Paper/Hardcopy

I like the idea for the blog, and good luck with it.

The text needs to be increased, as it is defeinitely hard to read (and I have great eyesight)

I also think that your text area could do with becoming a little wider. OK, at the top your sidebar is there, but as you go down the blog the text then only takes up half the width. Perhaps use a 2-column theme, and spread the sidebar stuff down the page a little?

 

Like your site An American In France, this could turn into an online novel as the name leads the mind to imagine all that could be in store for an American who is in a foreign land.
Great jump out at you color scheme as well the red is utilized well not over done.

I like the site. You should go for a little comedy/personal opinion too - ie the annoying things that they do etc. Their love of two hour lunch breaks, their frankly ancient internet sites etc

Where are the pictures at???? There is a lot of talk, but pictures are worth 1,000 words. You speak of recycle bins, but no pictures?

 

the red has to much contrast on the dark background, it doesn't look good.
Also, I would work on a better domain, it seems like a free domain to me with all the dashes.
and I would definitely take care of the favircon... if you don't know how, just google favircon generator.

Well if you are going to get super technical about it, that color is not GRAY either.

Gray is 808080, not 636363.

 

Hardly getting super technical about it....just that it quite obviously wasn't black.
