I am pretty sure PR update is just around the corner, justification in thread.

Ok my site has had a pr update of 0 before this upcoming PR update. My reasons for thinking the PR update is around the cornor include

1) I have checked PR on 3 diffrent place, i webtool shows 2 data centers showing my site PR as 5, the rest are 0

2)http://pr.blogflux.com/ has updated my page rank to 2

3) Ive seen a huge increase in traffic in last 2 days from, 60 hits per day to 200, and this has remained, most from search engines very little from refering sites

I dont see any other reason for this huge increase

 

My traffic has gone from 0 to 10000 per day in 2-3 days
Do i expect PR update ? NO

 

If PR update is coming then its good news for all of us

 

Unless you are working for Google, your predictions will be just that, predictions

 

If so then I'll be seeing a new PR of 7 or 8 soon

 

PR and traffic are two different things. Check your site referrers for the last 2 days. There might be some article or something that has caught people's attention.

 

The next PR update will be this month, I guarantee it, it's easy to work out when the updates are (month wise), there is no specific 'day' tho because the update happens over a number of weeks, but people will see changes this month at some time.

 

As harnet said, traffic has little to do with PR. Maybe Google (as well as other SEs) has updated your SERP recently which may be why you're seeing this traffic spike.

Now, I've also noticed a weird behavior in some PR checker tools. I can't say that it's because of an update going on. However, last time it happened Google updated everyone's PR. Again, I'm not saying that this is a clear signal of a PR Update. It could be just a bunch of monkeys chewing some servers' cables xD

As others said, you need to increase your knowledge on the subject. PR increase doesn't mean traffic increase. Sites are not ranked by PR.

You haven't looked into it much as you didn't mention any keywords you have risen for. You just found a traffic increase.

Also your other evidence is PR tools, which quite often have errors.

Please write in an existing thread if you have something to say.

 

the last PR update was on the 28th April, Google normally update every 3 months (approximately) so next one is due end of this month (July). Google could be re indexing pages and that may possibly be a reason for the change as your sites get a high pr and a little more traffic, however it's SERPS that matters.

 

I lost PR for one of my blog. It was used to be PR4 but today it's PR2.

Don't know why

Traffic and Page Rank are not related

 

I did not sell any links and made any paid blog posts.

 

I hope it happens soon, I have some new sites that have no PR and am anxious to see where their first ranking places them.

 

You will be disappointed because you do not seem to understand the concept of page rank. When the PR is updated your sites do not increase in rankings.
