Heh I called google one day because of a site that didn't show up anymore. The girl who answered was like...well did you talk to your registrar? I said since when does my registrar control whether google can ban my site from search results...dead silence. Then she goes...well we don't really do that...I don't think...

WHAT THE HECK...are you telling me google hires these kinds of idiots too? hehe

You can try to delete sitemap from google webmaster service and then add it one more time, in some cases it can help.

Investigate first if there's other party involved. There are cases competition is the cause, sometimes there are opponents playing dirty (hope not) or maybe your site was hacked or something. Try to figure out what's the cause.

your site is not being cached but still have backlinks and PR. Just wait for the next update, if the backlinks and PR are gone after the update. Thats the time you can give a conclusion that its already banned, just continue SEO and try to check your backlinks maybe you link to bad site and your site got penalize.

You have some script above your opening <html> and also below your closing </html> so take a look at that, also you have some <span id=adv_text style=display:none></span> these display:none or display:hidden can set off red flags.

I'm not saying that's caused it, but i'd certainly look at changing these if you can. I turned off Javascript, switched to Googlebot Useragent etc and it doesn't appear like anything sneaky is being done.

Sorry it looks like your site is doomed, i've seen quite a few clean sites not breaching the Webmasters Guidelines and receiving thousands of uniques a day be completely de-indexed and tanked.

But what can you do? Don't rely on one site that's what, make 100's so when Google screws up or wakes up in a bad mood it doesn't kill your only source of income.

log into google webmaster tools, you'll see all the problems, fix them and send them a request to rescan it.
    basically that's what we did

Gingimaster, can you tell us what you discovered in G Webmaster tool and what you did?

I'm running into the same situation. I have a PR 3 Travel site (1 year-old) and its SERP dropped two days ago. As we speak, it is still not recovered. Some keywords used to be on 1st page is now no longer found. I did SITE: and all indexed pages are still there. It just behaves like PR 0 and cannot compete with other sites. It doesn't seems to be banned. If banned, G will return nothing according to some people said.
