    Sport fans, come here to discuss about Olympic 2008 winners. I guess China will be the champion in this year 2008. Because they are the hosting country. Give your opinion.

    with so many years for preparation and so much money invested in this, i don't really see the Chinese losing this one

    My bet is China will be second, USA will still retain the top position. Home ground advantage is useful, but in the end it is the caliber of the athletes that count. China is catching up fast but it can't do wonders.

    Well I think China will lead in terms of Gold medal since both country comming closing and closing. They are doing well in Shooting where they can win more golds.:)

    China will probably win more medals in certain types of events like gymnastics. But in events like swimming, basketball, baseball, and other sports the USA is likely to win more. In the overall medal count my guess is that USA, Russia, Germany, China, and Australia will be the top five winners.

    Yes there is no doubt on this 5 nation but who will lead it. China only have home advantage and they might get no.1 position.
