This site was set up yesterday, it took about 3 hours. During that time I posted 3 starter articles. On the main page, every other article, or every third article will have a video visible. The videos are being pulled from my youtube account that promotes another one of my sites. The site - http://www.survivalboards.com/ I also took the picture that was used on the header. Any opinions, suggestions or feedback?
Really nice. Love the header. Are there supposed to be pics below articles? I'm seeing huge blank spots below each before the link to read the rest of each piece. I'm on dial-up. Showed "Done", waited a bit longer, but still nothing.
The blank spots were probably youtube videos that did not load the preview image. This tells me I need to keep so many videos off the main page for the dial up users, thank you. A couple of weeks ago my family and I were at a local lake. The road going into the area is pretty rough, you have to have a truck and it helps if you have a 4 wheel drive. While we were at the lake the sky turned black and started pouring rain. We loaded up in the trucks and headed back home. The crop that picture came from was taken as I was driving back home. The rain slacked off enough to give the woods a real mist effect. So I stopped, rolled down my window and took some pictures as my family and I were leaving out. As we were leaving out, my son-in-law almost got his truck stuck. So while he was trying to get out of the mud, this gave me the chance to take some pictures of the mist. The day time temps had been in the 90s just a few minutes before. So what you see in that picture is real mist from a rain. It was not altered in the slightest - except the cropping.
It looks nice, but I hope you can try to alternate videos and pure-text articles. I think there will be some PCs who will be having a hard time loading your pages.
Thank you. I did not post anything about the forum because I wanted to see if anyone found it. The videos make the reader pause at the ads. I am trying to get to the videos so they have an ad on the left, under or on top of them. Instead of just scanning over the ads like a lot of people do. The videos force the reader to pause, watch the video and see the ad. The site is using wordpress, so its more like a blogging platform. The design of the site has a couple of purposes, but one of the main ones is to drive traffic to the forum. The domain name is close to the forum, so both sites grab a lot of SERPs and keywords. More so then just one site. Thank you. As more articles are posted, the videos will be moved below the "Read more" link. That way the home page loads faster. Some of the articles will have nothing but text.

Site looks nice but it needs a submit button for the search. You should also chang the color of your Google ads to make them blend in more. Make the text the same color as your text and the back white to match you background. Users are getting trained to find Google ads and not click on them so you have to start making them look less like ads and more like content.
