WS_FTP all the way... although for small jobs I see nothing wrong with using the FTP program built-in to Windows.

Before, I just use dreamweaver. Now, I use fetch for mac. Saves me a lot of time because I can easily drag and drop items to get or put.

    either FireFTP or Filezilla

I have been using filezilla for about 2 years with no issues to speak of. And it auto updates.

Yeah, I was a steady WS_FTP user for years, I mean, who doesn't love the train sounds? But FileZilla's interface and functionality and how it auto-updates is a big plus, it can't hurt to try it. In the end its probably personal preference.

I used to use WS_FTP when I first started, then I was introduced to Cute_FTP and loved it.

I use FlashFXP. Its a paid program but I have stuck with it for 4 yrs. I suggest you use FireFTP which as nihang said is a firefox plugin. It's supposed to be quite gd :)
