I know there are several registrar that sometimes put this as a marketing point, anyone know a current one? Need a test site for some things
You can get them for $1.15 at GoDaddy, which charges $0.20 ICANN fee at checkout. Free INFO domains was a promotion running from September 2004 to early 2005. Nowadays you can get them for as low as $0.99 at 1&1 or $2.99 at Domainsite. Otherwise $1.15 at GoDaddy when this promo is available or if you are already client.
Well they can, http://www.mapcrow.info/ PR6, nevermind about that though, I just need a pretty cheap TDL since i'm not even going to use it fully.
Why do you say that? I have several websites on .infos and they're all indexed. OP: Are you looking for a particular name or will any do? You might be able to get someone to trade you one for a service or something. I don't know of any registrars giving them out for free presently.
Well, it's okay if its not for free, I just need a cheap TLD seller where I can buy it, do note I'm not entirely a cheap bastard lol it just that the domain i'll be buying is not going to be used much
Hi, I understand you want to test something, just open an account at my first link in sig and I'll push one into your account, if it sounds fair to you. Good luck.
If u have probs wid godaddy then u can have somebody to do it..or else u can use dotster $2.5 approx for a .info or get a very cheap .info from any guy
Thanks loglive, nice prices i'll bookmark it for a future reference I'll go with dotster now, although I'm a bit stuck because I err ruined my own VPS so i'll buy the domain later on... need to rebuild my vps again :|
.info isn't free. They're just giving it away for a discount on its first year of purchasing then after that, the price will be as same as other domains.
lol!!!!!!!!!!! cheapscate! 0_o jking!! I can let you use one of my domains... I'll push one onto free hosting with GoDaddy.com and you can mess around with whatever it is you're doing if its all whitehat.. PM me if interested..
That'd be nice, and no, I'm a open source freak, I hate all things related to warez, blackhat crap, they aren't worth my time since you can actually openly market what you know. Literally what I'm doing is learning more about webserver software, such like how BIND Server lets the registrar know the ip and how apache set virtual hosts and so on. pretty much educational stuff. I have a VPS, though it's down at the moment, when I get it back I'll throw you a PM
.info domain is extremely cheap now and it may cost you less than $2.00 for 1 year registration. You may try to register one at http://domreg.asphostcentral.com
