Pipes...seriously. India is not a rich country. However its one of the most rapidly developing countries in the world right now. And you claim they don't have internet access? Then why is so many DP members from India. The Internet is rising big and fast there. Sweden is a very rich country. Would you make a Sweden directory over a niche directory? I wouldn't. Many Indians can speak English too, which is my initial though on the argument.
I didn't say they were rich or didn't have internet access. The infrastructure is no where near covering where people would like it to be. The internet is rising big and fast there because America have got plenty of US citizens over there setting up centers and because the british use India for the same purpose, if those 2 countries alone were not doing business over there it would look a bit different. I probably would make a Swedish directory first, id probably make a Scandanavian Telecommunications directory, Finland i think it is are a bit more advanced with Telecoms and High speed internet access for customers. Really i looked into various countries i could try, im not interested in trying to make from Asian countries or Eastern european countries either. That advancement and growth is for them and not us, we webmasters wont benefit from that, only the people in the growing ecomonies and the western corporations that outsource the work will benefit. Britain raped Africa of diamonds and India of anything it could get its hands on, its now going back for second helpings for cheap call center work in India, back in Iraq for oil and back in afghanistan for herion to control the street price. they dont destroy it they guard it. So back to niches and developing countries and monetisation, my advice would be even if your a foreigner, hit the UK market if you want to but use UK hosted servers and get UK traffic for decent earning in whatever method you try. But dont send romanian traffic to a UK finance site and expect it to convert and it sits on US servers. In a nutshell, do take everything into account instead of just thinking niche, monetisation. Ive made so many mistakes to finally understand what should be obvious to me.

Exactly my point, although im British im quick to admit that Britain got rich stealing land and anything they could get their hands on. Thats why if there is money to be made then it should be Indians who get rich off of India and not outsiders like me.
