Yay! I didn't have to compress my gif image to have it displayed here -Why do I Love Digital Point!?

These are the generally recognised 'hot zones' for Adsense ad placements! The brighter the color, the hotter the area! I disagree with the left hand column postioning as most people are right-handed and use the mouse thus. It's easier to click more to the right than the left. (It's a 'lazy' thing).

I prefer this model but the skyscraper ads are best positioned on the right hand side in my opinion - the brighter the color, the better the placement!

Would You click on an Adsense ad that looked like one of these? I'm playing around with fluro colors (a bit like D.P.) to see if the CTR goes higher.

This made me laugh - how would you click on the ads though!?

    Best to You!
    Dave.

Still, a great way to advertise though! Some people plaster their car back panel with a website address. I even read somewhere that licence plates with .com addresses are available in some places.

The silliest (and most fun) thing I've heard is of a wet t-shirt competition where all the participants had to wear tops with a certain URL emblazoned on them. The local T.V. station filmed apparently.

    What won't people do?

I totally agree with you BUT the hand that tends to use the mouse is right for most people and many don't bother to guide the cursor way over to the left of the page even though that is where you look first.

    Cheers,
    Dave.

i think someone made up that image with adsense on the bus. think about it, on those 2 ad code that are showing on the bus, there are several advertisers. which one of the advertiser will put that on the bus? would google do that by themself? i doubt cause they would not generate any money from clicks

Then in your picture why is the right side white? Or does that mean that white is the optimal spot?

It's a matter of opinion really but I know that I use the mouse with the right hand and it is located on the right. Much easier to click ads on the right if you are super lazy! Many computer users are!

    Cheers,
    Dave.

I think that ads on the right hand side of the page are more user-friendly than those on the left! Just my humble opinion of course!

I've always found ads on the left to have a higher ctr.

    Maybe it varies though

We tend to move mouse more on the right side because of the scroll bar.
