Which approach should I choose

Since I started getting some decent money from CB , I'm planning on investing part of them, to make some more serious money. Basically I'm getting cereal about affiliate marketing. I have several ideas in mind.

First thing I'm gonna do is buy web space from bluehost (many people praise them, If they're not that good, let me know)

2nd thing - Find an appopriate niche (with decent traffic and not too much competition).

    So here were my thoughts

    1st Option
Create a page about a niche and tackle most of the keywords for that niche (especially long-tailed ones), here's a website that does that -> http://www.screwmanboobs.com - It's obvious if you look at his/her articles, that he/she tackles most of the major keywords and the articles on the page are keyword optimized.
This page also ranks high for most of the keywords, basically it dominates the niche. Is this website a good example of generating money via clickbank (the only think I want to change is instead of using a mailing, promote an affiliate product on each page)

    OR

    2nd Option
Find a niche, subscribe to aweber, put an e-mail signup aweber form with a nice landing, and generate leads, and try to sell them something related to the niche. There will be only a landing page, I know how to generate traffic so that's not a problem for me. However I don't know anything about e-mail marketing (but I'm ready to learn about it). Does e-mail marketing make good money?

Which approach should I choose? What are your thoughts on this?

i don't see why you can't do both?

the 30 day challenge is a great example of how to successfully market with emails.. give MASS free useful content.. then SELL SELL SELL

Psychology is fascinating, you know door to door salesmen would give every person free small gifts to make them feel they should buy something in return?

I decided I will make 2 web sites, and use both approaches.

About email marketing, when do you start selling? . I know it varies from niche to niche, but for an average niche with average buyers, how much time will you be sending free stuff until you start selling, a week? a month?. Also, under Average circumstances, what kind of a conversion rate can you expect from e-mail marketing?

I'm sure you've heard this sentiment before but typically after the 7th email is when the majority of people buy, at least that's what it averages to I believe. So I suppose if you set it to once daily and you had decent content going out to them, you could expect a return after a week.

Okay so I bought web hosting, gonna start working on my niche website, and gonna also get aweber.
Can anyone tell me a good guide about email marketing, I've been looking on it on google but didn't find anything useful.
I need info like, what kind of e-mails should I sent, when should I start suggesting a product to be bought... etc etc...
