Where should I promote my Photoshop Tutorials?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by steelfrog, Jul 8, 2008.

I've started writing Photoshop tutorials again after a few years hiatus and everything related to marketing has changed since then.

I'm wondering where I should be submitting my tutorials to increase views. I've already added them to Stumbleupon and I don't think they'll be popular on Digg, so I didn't bother.

Does anyone have any other handy sites lying around? Thanks!

Directory? Sorry, I'm pretty new to all things SEO. I've been a designer for a long time but never really expanded from there.

Make a couple of video tutorials and upload them to YouTube, people love that kinda stuff...

If you want to submit your videos to many sites at once, you can use a free service such as TubeMogul to do the work...

try to make a search on google directory submission.
and you are right, digg.com would not work for tutorial, unless they are REALLY good..

There are lots of guys here on this forum who will do the directory submissions. If you have money use Adwords for some time otherwise write articles and submit them to Ezinearticles with the link to your tutorial site.

This is good advise although it will takes some effort :)

You can also try putting up your tutorials in the Squidoo or Hubpages.

good-tutorials.com if your tutorials aren't based off a topic that's been done 100 times. I receive about 10 unique hits from good-tutorials every day from just a few tutorials which were uploaded last year

I have an idea for you.

Use youtube and make a video of you creating something really cool. Be sure to record it as you create it. Then use a video editting software (If you can) to speed up the whole process by 10 lets say. Upload the video to youtube and have text at the end saying...

"Want to know how I did this? Visit my tutorial site for free photoshop tutorials."

I remember Dove doing this for their true beauty campaign. Except for youtube they used national television :p

Photoshop Tutorial site can get good traffic if you have good articles / tuts. Social media is the best in this case, to give you a good boost and increase your ranking in Serps
