Ok, so just bought one of those 'HEY LOOK - $1 DOMAIN' and lets face it..you jsu spent $1 on ThisSiteIsDump.com. So first things first. let get into Adobe photoshop (if you have it)..and make a logo including the URL name..and some snazzy slogan lik.. 'Its not really dump' Then lets head over and get a copy of PHProxy..install it to your root.. and wham..you got a new site.. your new site is now a basic..crappy proxy.. Dont worry.. people want to use your proxy..they just dont know it yet.. so lets get it recognised..submit it to some topsites..and maybe Proxy.org..something big..pay 20 bucks or so to get it highlighted..be creative.. then watch the hits come in.. I dont advise monetising it untill you have atleast 3 proxys all linked to each other.. it circulates the revenue... +Rep if you liked Ill be uploading a text file of all the sites to submit to within the next hour or so

Getting domains is no problem I can buy for like US$4 so for about £6.20 I'd have 3. Seriously thinking about running a proxy now would just like it to be able to make back in adsense what I pay into it, not so much a business or form of income. +rep added for both

I am wondering are proxy sites seasonal, I mean I thought a lot of the revenue would come from College students trying to look at sites that are blocked on their network. Also what kind of revenue would I get from this given the large amount of traffic and how hard is it to set up?
Remember that educational years are different to where you are in the world. For example in Australia it's like January-December but in Scotland it's like July-June. Not sure on the revenue, as for setting it up I've done it once its piss easy

I am a persno who earns solely from proxy sites. I have 13 of them (links to all on www.tyou.info) and Im very happy. I submitted the sites to directories, bought links from PR3+ sites, submitted to top sites, and posted the link all over youtube lol. Im happy.
