How to start...

First off I apologize if this is not the correct section for this. It is related to ClickBank so I thought this was the most appropriate section. Anyhow, I signed up with ClickBank and really want to start promoting their products to earn some extra cash on the side, next to my day job. Where can I start? I mean what are the best ways? I currently don't own a website. I have in the past and not a complete noob, only when it comes to affiliate marketing, then I guess you can call me one. I do have a small capital that I can put to use, depending on the situation. Thanks in advance!

Article marketing is usually the best way for someone to start. Read up on Bum marketing. That could help you. Also, since you have some capital, you could start with PPC. But tread very carefully since PPC is a monster that can eat up your cash in a jiffy if you are not careful with it.

Bum Marketing is a good introduction and best of all it's free. A lot of people here use this method because the only thing it costs is time. Just read a few threads around here over the course of a day and you will get a very good idea of what to do. Then just do it, don't procrastinate, get out there and do some work and you should make some money.

I just read like a very long article. I have one question. I get it, you write an article, submit it to one of the sites, you land a good spot on Google. They read your article. How exactly do you convert tho, making your own blog and posting the same article there and having your affiliate links there? That is the only part I am confused about.

I agree with the others - get started with bum marketing - it will help you learn the ropes of affiliate marketing without breaking the bank.

As to your question - no you don't want to link to the same article. You want to link to a landing page. There are many different styles of landing pages but I've found "review" pages work well on a consistent basis.

landing page term can be very vague, its just the place where your going to pre-sell the product.

Customer like review of the product.. A shorter pitch page than the publisher, but with all the juicy bits.. Video review...whatever your technique is to sell.

So per say I made a blog, in wordpress.com Can I just use a separate post for each article and product I promote as a landing page? or is that a bad idea? Is there a better alternative?

EDIT: Also curious. When writing this... is it allowed, or should I say a good idea... to pay others to write these articles? Any restrictions?

If you are using free wordpress blogs, not self hosted, then you should create a blog for each product, and put there a review of a product + few relevant articles to the niche.

I would recommend to write articles yourself. It's free and also you develop your writing.
