WOW.. Congrats I take it that this check represents money earned from other sites you have had going for a while! That is an impressive first check! James, The check is for $132.16. It was earned in a period of 4 weeks. Out of that $20+ is related to this project. I had run adsense as a TEST for 10 days or so and it made 20 bucks then.
Before anyone asks how much I am averaging now, it is between $1-$3 from 40-60 UVs daily according to Google Analytics.
Looks like you've got a nice niche or two there, just a matter of building up that traffic now to some serious numbers. Got a site that's seeing 3-5,000 AdSense impressions a day and I'm lucky to make $5 a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm beginning to hate this site, nothing I've done with AdSense has helped, really sucks having a nice traffic site (90% from Google) that won't convert. Another site of mine had 157 AdSense impressions yesterday and made the same amount of money from AdSense as the 3-5K site! David Law
That sucks David. I truly feel sorry. Didn't you not do your research before you started it? Maybe you can look at affiliate marketing? I can't really think of anything else. It really is a pain.
UPDATE Started article marketing today. The plan is - 1. To submit 1 article every week to top 10 authority article directories with 2 links in the author bio box. 2. To end the year with 500+ backlinks from article marketing alone.
I built the site before I'd even heard of AdSense and was the first site I tried AdSense on and it put me off using AdSense on my sites generally for I think 2 years!! The site was made for a specific reason, so not a end of the world that AdSense doesn't work on it, just sucks all that traffic isn't converting for something that's really easy money. Still not given up on it, if I can get the traffic to 100,000 impressions a day then I'll make over $100 a day from AdSense. Now how do I increase traffic twenty plus fold over night again David Law
OK, thanks for that info.. Um, not sure what has happened, but the check I see in the link is for 5.5k+ But anyway, still.. to even get over $100 in your first month is impressive (to me anyway). It took me exactly 1 year to make it to my first $100 but I must say that I never set my site up with the intention of making any money from it. it was just something I did for fun really and out of interest. and to be honest I was not even aware that there were people out there making enough money from websites to live on. But the more I read the more I learn, and I can now see a faint glimmer of hope that there may be a way to actually make an income from it. I am a plasterer (Drywall) by trade, and would much rather be doing something a little bit easier on the body to make money.. Thats why I follow threads like this with interest to be inspired. Outsource any of what? I have 3 writers who take care of all the article work. Quality is par excellence.
