backlinks are not everything and Page rank is now a myth I have a PR 2 site in number one and top 5 and top 10 for competitive keyphrases less than 80 links beating out PR 6 and 7 sites with 20k+ backlinks soooooo many myths......

Exactly!! as I said, $6k MINIMUM. Wrong, SEO is NOT unreliable if the person who has the project knows what they are doing. Nothing is guaranteed these days, not in the world of SEO/SEM, link building, offline marketing, nothing. Well, all I can say is good luck in finding that person who will do what you require because I for one certainly wouldn't do work then expect payment at the end of it unless everything is transfered into my name for reassurance. Well, i decided to test drive some of my sites and here's the deal: G #2 - competition: 1.250.000 G #3 - competition: 995.000 G #1 - competition: 1.470.000 and for the end: G #2 - competition: 8.000.000 So, i'm not a SEO, at least a Professional Seo, but i do know my way around. And yet, i'll never do a SEO job because to do that for you guys, i have to drop my sites into a corner and/or work 19 hours a day. So you see, just 2-3 years ago, i didn't had a clue about seo, linkbuilding, w3c, keywords, long term strategy, competition, etc etc If a dumbass like me can do it, i guess you can too. Well i think $6000 per month for SEO if a stinking ripoff, sorry just aint worth it, learn how to do it yourself, get somebody to optimize you site and pages have good unique content, and start getting loads of links and submitting articles, sorry no offense seo guys , but i cant see the $6000 per month, you will never convince me otherwise.
can you show us websites of your own that are in page one lisitngs of google for 1-3 COMPETITIVE keywords? and remember, although YOU may have time to do all that work... Most people looking for TOP keywords, are too busy running their businesses than trying to do every bit of marketing for themselves. its like saying I would never pay someone $100 bucks to change my oil...sure you CAN do it on your own...but why? Top level SEO is NOT for the guy with an adsense template site it is for people with real products and services who want to generate organic traffic without "paying PER click" so if it doesnt fit you, it is because its not FOR you. The people it is for know that 6k for page one results is CHEAP compared to paying 10-50k in PPC for the same level of listings
I didnt say 6k for first page on google, i would pay someone 6 k for first page on google if they promised it, I SAID, 6k per MONTH is outrageous to pay. Your right most people dont have the time to do there own site, i dont have time, but im paying somebody to do it, and im working on it also, when i have time, and i promise you im not paying anywhere near 6k per month, thats all im saying.
yah your right for just some SEO 6k is a bit high! but this guy wants first page for a SINGLE keyword..."cash" at that! actually that keyword will probably take several months to get first page....especially hard to do white hat (which is all i do)
The url contains the word cash, (www.italkcash.com) so does title, description and meta tags, it really should not be THAT hard. Anyway, if anyone can work with escrow I am able to pay like that. I will put whatever cash you need in escrow. So who is up for www.italkcash.com to make it page 1 on google, yahoo and msn for the word, "CASH"
LOL, the word cash is not THAT much of a value. For 100k I can buy advertisement in TV for months on CNBC, I am pretty sure that kind of traffic is far better.
actually you wont get MONTHS on cnbs, but you can do a small campaign, unless you mean the website and not the broadcast station either way it wont however get you to page one in google, which will keep bringing traffic long after a commercial is gone...and of course its TARGETED to people who specifically typed your word in, and not the latest britney spears new report the other alternative is to follow industry standard practice and just pay 6k in advance

I do my work on the above site, together with ssandecki on DP and he is the SEO King, I suggest you have a chat to him or myself about an SEO plan, either one of us would be able to work on the site for you. Just because the url, title, description and meta tags have the keyword "cash" in it, makes no difference to how hard or easy the job would be. What makes a difference is what your competitors are doing - How many high quality backlinks, are they purchasing text links and should they be reported, their priority status...etc etc You are currently not ranked in the top 1000 results for the keyword "cash" and you have some competitive sites in the top positions such as wikipedia and yahoo, although not direct competitors to your site. Thanks BusinessCoach, alot of my knowledge, if not all, has been because of working on my clients sites with Steven. I don't understand why anyone would want to rank for the term "cash" it's such a broad term, better off targeting a longer tail keyword like "make cash online", etc. (again what you would pay an SEO for is keyword research, know what you are targeting, which will bring you more traffic, which are more monetary and so forth) But I guess this is what he WANTS You're 100% right though, it will take him several months to reach first page using only white hat techniques. However, he has to understand, you get what you pay for - Pay someone $1000, they'll shoot off $50 out of it to someone else for directory submissions, a few blog comments and any other low quality backlinks they can pay someone else to do, and then pocket the remaining $950... the outcome; little or no critical on-page seo repaired, low quality backlinks, little or no SEM, the list can go on, but mainly - NO top 10 position in Google, Yahoo and MSN.
There are over 100 things google looks at that DIRECTLY affects your search rank...only about 30 are ON THE PAGE Meta Tags KEYWORDS -- died in 2001...useless (except to let google know your a spammer!) Google is also intelligent -Google looks at when the domain was registered and WHEN IT EXPIRES, it looks at content on your page, how old it is, how relavant it is, even which parts of the page has ads supraice mentioned SEM...which is definitely different the SEO or even what I call SES (search engine saturation) which is much better in the end
