Why do people buy digital point signatures?

Hello all

I've seen people selling their signature space, Can I ask whats the best reason to buy?

1. Does it help SEO with whatever the link goes to?
2. Is it to try and promote/sell a product/website to a digital point user?

Direct traffic for the most part.

Reasons:
1) Get traffic,
2) Get more exposure - when ever a user likes your signature, he clicks it
3) Acts as aback link
4) Promote their products/offers/software- anything.
5) Sell products

 

It's a good way to get traffic to your site. It also provides backlinks.

I don't get a ton of traffic from my signature. Maybe 2-3 visitors per day at the most probably. Then again, not all my websites would be of interest to the people who visit this forum.

I sends lots of traffic and is very cheap for the price you pay.

 

Exactly all of the above, it's surprising how many sales are made from simple links, for the seller it's a small earner but it doesn't hurt

also can produce good conversions as they click it because they are interested.... is good advertising if you buy an active persons sig

 

DP get PR7 it's a good backlink.

 

Nope, the backlinks from DP won't help much, all it's good for is direct traffic. Anyone posting here for SEO and getting links is just wasting his and our time.

 

DP has a lot of visitors that can be potential customers. I don't think signature plays role in increasing your PR but it can bring traffic to your internet-resource!
