Starting A Blog

I am wanting to start a blog to make a little money. I am willing to devote a lot of time to this and in my opinion, I am a good writer. I am wondering if there are any tutorials on this forum or on another site that can help me to start a good blog that allows me to add ads.

    Thanks! :D

This site in itself is a comprehensive tutorial.

Browse through various sections to read on :

    1. Domain Registration
    2. Content Management
    3. Marketing
    4. Link Building and Link Exchanges
    5. Keyword Management
    6. Directory Submissions

You'll find everything here to enable you to be successful.

    Cheers.

I don't want to put any money into it yet. I will consider putting what I make back into it for domains, hosting, advertising, ect. For now, though, I just want to set one up on a blog site such as Blogger, but I am wondering if anyone wrote a simple tutorial on doing this?

If you are serious about it, domain and hosting is a good investment and cheap anyway.

Blogger doesn't need a tutorial, it is very easy to use. www.blogger.com

There are just a few things I am wondering.

    • Do I have to do my whole blog on a single topic?
    • What are some good topics for my blog?
    • What should I name my blog?
    • Which domain should I get?
    • What is a good host?
    • Which ad program should I use?
    • Does Blogger let you put ads on your site?

Are there any blog sites such as Blogger that will allow me to put the domain right into the site and use it as hosting?

That seems like it would be much simpler than getting a blog script and uploading it.

blogger.com allows you to create a blog, swich it to a custom domain name and still host it there. wordpress.com is another viable option.
