What's wrong with London?

I have been in this city for over 2 years. I have not lived a single day without reading a teenager has been stabbed somewhere in London. This is driving me insanse. I am so scared of getting out on roads these days in the night thinking and hoping the next one is not me.

I dont know what the government is upto. I know measures are being taken but i guess this is not enough. What do you think is missing or has gone wrong here with this lovely city? This is such a beautiful city with nice people around.

I am not sure, but I am now reconsidering my decision to live here. If this is not going to be under control I might soon be moving out of here.

It's not just London. You can go to any major city in the world and you can find the media reporting crimes across the city.

 

and its not even the murder capital of the world - just media manipulation - killings etc happen every day in every major city around. so unless you move to the north pole you will continue to hear about deaths

I have read this so often or have come across this information on such a regular basis. I know crime is happening everywhere in all major cities, but this is the first time I have come across the knife crime happening so often.

Anybody here from london who feels the same as i do?

yes, every day too many bad things happening in London, because the use of 'Drugs and Wine'

 

stabbings are laughable around here.

 

Well these knife crimes are happening alot in London, and we only get to hear a few that are reported by the media.

Im going into London tomorrow.....Thank god we dont have guns!

 

if anyone make trouble just be patience and make the situation better or go to home quickly

I like people with good humour. But this line really doesn't fit in here.

London is just a city...more people = more crime. Most cities are the same.

Plus in London most people will have a good bit of money on them (if they are going out to the pub or something) as it's so expensive, so people are prime targets there.

 

I read in the news today that teachers in britain are going to start wearing anti stab vests just in case their students take knives to school

 

its the gang culture that is growing and the fact that police officers are easily pushed around

 

I dont know why they are focusing on teachers now, when the original proposal was to protect paramedics who are attacked when they'd try and help a gang member.

 

they were explaining it's in case they need to separate 2 students who're fighting with knives...

 

The skyrocketing crime rate has been a great headache not only for London, but all over the world as well...

Goes to show, get rid of guns and people will simply use something else 'aka knife, car, explosive' etc.

 

I read an article in the newspaper, on how people are buying protective vests for work for just £300.
