    For Wille

Thanks a lot for your advice dude ... really appri. it ! Well i have done a lot more changes and optimized it now only BIG image is the header : 140 something KB gif

removed MOST of the images and certainly has decreased load time. at the moment removed ALL BACK LINKS

I suspect adbrite is the main factor for killing the speed of the site ! Proxifing speed is good enough and have placed only ONE FULL SIZED banner with full page ads still on !

well dont like popups so have removed all the popups that where place ... neways didnt even make any money through them !

    SO people PLEASe - Re-Review my website : http://unblock-ism.uni.cc

Hi Xternal thanks for the positive feedback i have had a look at your proxy site and this is my review.

First impressions it loads fast enough, no problems with the loading speed at all. Although i do see you have a large amount of links at the bottom of your proxy template for proxy topsites if you were wanting to make the site any faster just get rid of these however there is no problem with the speed plus they have been incorporated in to your design nicely, presented nicely and do not look out of place or "too" unprofessional or sore on the eye.

The design its self is a nice theme one which i have used many times especially with my old proxy network. One thing i could recommend is to make your site stand out from the crowd you could change some of the colours around a bit, this is merely for aesthetics only and perhaps the odd visitor who would be confused thinking they have already been to the site before because the theme is so popular.

I would suggest that you put a nice skyscraper advertisement down the left hand side were the navigation bar is, this would balance out the design and may get you a few pennies.

Other than that its a simple and popular design and you can see why, its basic and professional providing everything that is needed in a proxy site.

If you wanted to monetize the site in any other way you could sell links on the website however i am guessing you may do that with the partnered sites at the bottom.

Another option for increasing traffic would be to SEO the proxy site something i am assuming you have not contemplated judging from the Meta tags when viewing the source.

Basic SEO for a proxy site would be the Title tag and description tag ensure they have an array of about 4-5 keywords which you want to try and rank highly for, you can find highly searched relevant keywords at free keyword tracker, seo book, overture e.t.c
The keywords could also be implemented in to your meta keywords tag however the importance of this tag has decreased in value over the last couple of years now being regarded as almost if not fully useless.

Another idea would be to increase the amount of content you have on the proxy site, it does not have to be user friendly content because who the hell reads whats on a proxy site, however do not keyword spam the content keep the percentage of keywords to the total content at around 5-8%.

If you want any other help with the proxy site on SEO you can read my 3 part tutorial on SEO for a proxy site here
    SEO for a proxy site

Overall the design is nice and simple, the site loads quick enough there is a bit of content which is good to see, monetizing aspects are lacking about with the use of a skyscraper at the side this could help things.
The domain name is readable, talkable and could be viral, its a dot.com which always help with looking professional and direct traffic.

Hope this helps mate, need anything else give me a shout if you need proxy tutorials or feel like reading up here

Excellent job tripad with returning to the website i can see the speed has increased dramatically which will help in keeping traffic coming in and returned visitors.

Although i still see you are using full page adverts perhaps this is a personal vendetta against these adverts but i really do just hate them, they are annoying, make you stop what your trying to do and returning visitors will decrease because of it (obviously returning custom is nothing a proxy site owner will be trying to target as the proxy site will become blocked at some point however you woudl not say no to a returning visitor) i do advise getting rid of the full page adverts.

The text link ads is another advertising method which looks tacky and unprofessional, now it is up to you whether or not you get rid of this type of monetization it is something again that i dislike however the disadvatages are merely aesthetical.

I would suggest perhaps adding a bit more content and instead of making the content positioned in the centre perhaps leave to spread across the page. The content you could add is what is a proxy, how a proxy works e.t.c dont copy the content either as this would be reported as duplicate content.

The key to a stable long term proxy site i would say is SEO on a proxy site, optimising a proxy site is a lot easier with the lack of fully optimised proxy sites currently around therefore in a couple of months you can quite easily increase traffic through basic optimisation, you can read my last post which discusses this and adds a couple of links to articles i have wrote on this subject.

Overall the site loads a lot faster and is much more presentable, the only big problem i have is the full page adverts which i hate. Perhaps try adding an advertising block underneath your proxy search bar and see what sort of conversion you receive of this, a part from that good job.

    Will.

I would say the right time would be start developing mid August if your just planning on self promoting the website, if your contemplating SEO then start now. If you start mid August it will give you some time to prepare and plan for when kiddies go back to schools/colleges and Universities in September usually around the first week in September. Traffic tends to reach an all time high in my experience around October and November again mid January and mid March.

(WILL: makes me wonder what typing speed you got :p lol )

Adbrite at the moment is hardly generating ANYTHING for me so am still keeping the FULL PAGE on !
SEO will certainly be my next step read ur artice some time back ... just that i spent quite some time on the template !

i was wondering if people would like a proxy site with BOTH phproxy and glype on it
What i mean is to keep a option on top or something : SWITCH TO PHPROXY (a light box) and the shift

    Just wondering

Well most of the features are same just that SOME people(not me :p) think php is better!

PHP has better designs and templates so therefore it wins the aesthetical finish and nice looking site competition however Glype i would say is harder to block and runs nicer in my opinion. Although Glype uses more resources and is a bit slower than PHP.

Either way if you were planning on doing this i would say no, and perhaps instead spend $0.99 on another domain name (.info) oh actually $1.19 through Godaddy with taxes on top and just add a link to that new domain which will hold the other script on.

That way they have to block both sites, and you are going to be transferring the traffic from one site to the other vica versa.

Thats a big generalisation i would not say most people who buy .info domains to develop a proxy site are kiddies trying to earn a little money, and if they are whats the problem with that :p

Dot info domains provide cheap solution to domain names which people know are going to get blocked after a degree of time. However i do admit that a nice .com is professional.

Lol that might be an idea :p

I have seen a few people mention that glype is harder to block compared to phproxy, interested in hearing more about this if any one is kind enough to share.

There is some truth with the .info thing, mostly people who are on $10 a year webhosting and have 1 .info domain and make $5 profit a year

But its just people doing the same thing on different levels.

(i own a lot of them myself)

Like buying a bmw or a ford, both will do the job one costs alot more than the other, the advantages are up to the buyers point of view

I really feel good now... I have only .com's

Anyway for sure you are not right with .info's and also with proxies. They help people browsing websites from school or work... I really don't know if this should be a good or bad thing but they are doing something for the people around.

Don't worry, I'm not going to bash you for that..lol

I have a little more beyond 50 proxies and around 10 of them are infos while the others are .com.
Truthfully, infos are much better earner at some points though..:) but rarely.
