The US is winning in Iraq due to the 'troop surge' and will now start shifting troops to Afganistan where they are needed.

People seem to forget this or twist the war into another issue. If we would not have been attacked we would not be there today.

Quite possibly. In fact, using the same hind sight the moonbats and Alex Jones types use, I would be willing to be had we been more pre-emptive to begin with, we may likely have never seen such attacks.

Sometimes doing nothing is worse than doing something.

And before some moonbat starts going on with how Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, I am not saying that. What I am saying applies to all our military efforts globally in the real war, the War on Terror.

That's why you don't hear much in the media anymore about Iraq. There are too many positives. Positive stuff does not make for good news. Only the negative is appealing and newsworthy. When there is not enough of that, its back to talking about Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, or OJ, or heck, OIL now.

Media show us only bad news, while there are many good news at Iraq etc, so now there isn't much bad news so the media don't even talk about it, how lame!

 

That's funny, I read good news from Iraq often, even when much good wasn't going on the news reported on it.

Guess it depends if you want to read all the news, or pick and choose.

Isreal is not a recognized state! They took over territory that does not belong to them! When the jews say that then it is not crime but when the muslims say that it becomes a crime!
