It's natural if your competitors are using exact keyword in there domain then they will get ranking very soon and come up on the top but you no need to worry about that kind of website if you have old domain then it will come back you just need to do your work as you did don't do anything silly and don't frustrate with that and don't do more work on your site ( I mean over optimization )

You don't have to do anything, wait and see what will happen, this doesn't mean that you have to double your work or link building. Just continue what you are doing. Focus on more relevant or quality links, I'm just curious that a seo company would ask question like this.
The fact that their domain name is seo india goes a long way. I think as you are in second position on google the only thing you need to do is at the very least try to remain there.
yeah, you need valuable backlinks with your domain name and do not forget about title to them from the sites where they are placed...'cause they are also counted in serching and ranking the sites
