Microsoft is too arrogant to see where technology is going.

yes, but at the same time, they have enough power to make it go where they want it. So in the bigger picture, it really wouldn't make THAT much of a difference to them.

I can see why they wouldn't do it from a business point-of-view. It's technically a direct competitor.

Yes, But xbox 360 technology is out dated, they should come up with something better than blu ray or use blu ray..

I agree with you there. Proud pc gamers unite :D

It's microsoft's loss, if they say no to Blu-ray.

Of course they're going to say no. Their enemy developed it (Sony).

Sad to hear. Wish MS would make Blu-Ray for the 360. It would certainly put the Xbox and PS3 on the same level IMO.

I think they rushed the Xbox out too soon. If the Xbox had been released with HD-DVD in it already I think that would have helped the fight against blue-ray. I hope at least the next version of the Xbox has blue-ray in it.

    I don't think that's entirely true.

MS released Xbox and HD-DVD seperate because not everyone wants an Xbox for HD-DVD, so why charge people more money for something they may never use?

At this moment, the Xbox 360 is cheaper than the PS3 due to the Blu-Ray. IMO that's a market advantage to the Xbox for those looking to just game and not watch DVDs with it.

Haha well that would help people since they can't really pirate the blue ray disc now. Haha maybe Microsoft is concerned about those that can't afford to buy an original disc, so they can buy the pirated ones:D

    Please...

MS (afaik) now has the largest amount of HD content online with their marketplace (think its somewhere in the 70,000 region). Everything is going online - Digital distribution.

In my experience, I know lots of people with ps3s...they all have 1 or 2 bluray dvds...thats it (1 of em is the bond movie...surprise suprise). There really isnt enough of a jump for *most* people to buy BR disks (jump ie- vhs to dvd huge)...i dont even buy dvds...i would much rather d.load em. Also, i think in the future...i will still be d.loading my content. Remember when the ps2 came out, everybody wanted a dvd player...be it the ps2 or otherwise. This time, i think its a little different.

Yes MS got lazy with the whole internet boom, they learned the hard way. The mighty gman was at one time the little upstart who had MS in their sights!

But i dont really see how that ties in with them saying no to bluray...i mean if you are looking at it that way...

sony > betamax > minidisc > sony memory stick (which i liked) > umd

Sony love to make and push their crap on users...old but i think it is relavent:D
