If you want to own multiple products; you have to have one for each account.

I personally only have two - one for free methods and one for PPC [when i start on it]

You don't really need to , you can use something like www.easyclickmate.com which will allow you to run multiple products on multiple websites through the one account although in saying that I have more than one clickbank account.

*Bigger publishers rely on the marketplace for each product for recruitment, you need a different account per marketplace listing. Each new account is admired by publishers and the $39 re-list fee (you get a discount for all accounts after your first), is well worth it and peanuts for what you get in return (new charting, grav. trends, sale/earnings listings, branding of the nickname and site, the perks are actually quite abundant once you get into the nitty gritty.

Bigger affiliates like to diversify campaigns to different accounts or are tired of being spied on and think that a new account and some cloaking will hide them better (and it does to a point). As an affiliate it doesn't have too much value to have multiple accounts as now you diversify earnings and waiting periods for paychecks/thresholds too.

I look forward to owning 50+ sites and hopnames (as a pub), even if only 30 of them turn out to be good converting programs, THAT is a nice portfolio, and THAT is a good way to diversify your accounts/earnings/stay organized per site/have different partners per projects etc. etc. so when you think scalability - CB actually made it quite nice - the only thing they lack which I heard through the vine is coming soon - is the ability to have mother accounts to check all your sites/accounts under one login/analytics system, and the other to be in touch with your vendors or aff's through an internal communication system...
