I wanted to get a few opinions here about the best investments in your opinion ... whether buying an established site, real estate, stock market, etc. What area would make up your biggest investment if you had:

    a) $1k to invest
    b) $10k to invest
    c) $100k to invest

Would it be online-based or offline-based in each scenario?

Very hard to answer that... are you trying to make a capital gain, or cashflow each month? How long are you planning on holding the investment for? If you buy a site- how much time does it require each week? If you buy real estate- where am you buying it, are you going to borrowing the money etc?

How much risk can you handle? If you lost the money, would it be the end of the world for you?

There are so many variables- so I doubt you'll get any useful answers. All investment types make sense for somebody at some time or other...

Anything less that $100K and I would invest it in my online ventures :D
Over that, real estate is the best bet in the long run ..

Yes, this is not something that is actually easy to answer without someone trying to take the money from you.

Maybe you could start with asking yourself what you are knowledgeable in and what you enjoy doing.

Yeah sounds like a good idea. I realized you can get lucky and make a bunch of money but then the hard part is using that money for something to make even more - I mean unless the thing that got you the money can be duplicated that is. Which, sometimes it can't!

Any kind of investment requires some deal of risk. I would recommend based on how liquid the money is that you diversify when investing. $1000-$10,000 you can invest in an Online business. For $100,000, I would say real estate would be your best. If you are looking for long term without hands on management, I would suggest a few mutual funds.

Put it in a high interest bank, term deposit even, make a few safe dollars a day whilst you sit back and put your feet up and spend your time making websites from the ground up!
