    hi everybody,
i have a problem i'd like to consult with you guys.
there's this israeli travel agency i'm working with, they're very strong on the local market thx to their website www.yeshtours.co.il
it's a PR4 website wich gets a couple of thousands UVs a day from google.
since yesterday the site has disappeared from all of Google's search engine reports.
it used to be among the first 3 if not the first on many key travel keywords.
i've checked on Iwebtool and the website doesn't seem to be banned.

    what can it be?
what can i do about it? how do i contact them about it to fix it?

please help me as this is very urgent and important, we have 12 people sitting in the office playing solitaire!

    thx in advance

Sorry to say, if it's completly disappeared from Google, then there's a good chance it's been banned.

as i said, i checked on iwebtool and it says the site is ok
moreover, the site has kept it's PR. if it gets banned, shouldn't the PR disappear with it?

The PR you see may not be the live PR.

Do you get any results with the 'info', 'site', or 'link' command?

    just checked again on iwebtool...

he domain name has no PageRank value, it is LIKELY to be banned.

The domain name has Backlinks and no Listings. The domain name DOES appear to be banned.

    :(

    Selectplat ; no results whatsoever
Sumit ; the site has been running on the same template for over 3 years

How can i know why i got banned?
    how can i undo this?

first, iwebtool is not the place to check if the site is banned. Best to check at the specific search engine you are having a problem with.

Nothing showing for the site: operator and domain does not even rank for itself. This could be a big problem...

There's no guarantee that it can be undone at all. I buy hundreds of domains per year, and I've had a few that have gotten banned. I've never been able to have it reversed. In all cases, I ended up getting a new domain, and putting the same site on it, minus anything I felt might have contributed to the ban.

I imagine you can contact google via email, and ask, but they are notorious for not providing anything more than a canned response to these sort of questions.

if i contact them, is there any chance that the situation will change or is it hopeless?
it's kinda sad, over 3 years of hard work with tough keywords on a very competitive niche

Personally, I'd say you have about a 2% chance of being re-included. It's possible, but highly doubtful.

basically it's a template that travel agencies get from another company that offers various services to agencies worldwide (one of the biggest in it's field).
in my country they easily have over 200 such websites running on the same template.
we maximized our possibilities with it which gave us such good rankings and i guess we pushed it too much

    2%?
better use our time trying to re-brand the agency....

    thx for the help guys

I think at least part of the problem is your backlink profile. It looks like you have atleast three sites that are interlinked. Even the cheaptraveldir in your signature is interlinked. Then you have many backlinks from "link partners." Reciprocal links are low quality, and in extreme cases this may appear as a link scheme.

In the past, Matt Cutts has said interlinking sites may not be bad if they are theme related. Interlinking more then ten was pushing it. But that post I believe was from 2006. Google may have tightened these standards since then. Regardless, I avoid interlinking any sites. If I must interlink, I add rel=nofollow.

If you have many sites that are interlinked, you may want to consider changing this so that your other sites do not suffer the same fate.

    Good luck

you mean that despite the sites being hosted and registered on different places, they might be considered as a "link farm" or something of the sort?
never actually thought this can damage it.
    thx for the tip snowbird!

Not exactly a link farm, but he is suggesting that Google sees that you own several different webistes, and that they are linking together in an attempt to manipulate PR, even when the sites are non-related in content.

When I make a search your site have 160 links to it and PR4.
Maybe it's a delay. Depends on wich G-le server is used.
You can still get a lot of customers from Sweden

Btw, why have we let Holy Google to decide which company will stay live and which is domed to die?

Is banning sites just a way to get more customers to Adwords?

I think you must have 10+ one way links for every reciprocal link.

    i don't think it's a financial issue.
the agency has a daily adwords budget of over 200$...
which i'm now trying to convince them to move elsewhere (facebook ie).

Btw Hej, our Swedish customers are usually guest DJs, so all expenses are paid by local promoters (those are some of the rare tickets i personally do ;) )
