So after accusing me of sourcing low percentage polls for British support of the war you do the opposite and source polls with exceptionally high support, Which no surprise still pale in comparison to all polls showing american support. Now that is a double standard.

We had half a million people out protesting the war, that's 1% of the entire population of the country, Congragating in London, To protest military action. I don't think there can be any doubt regarding how strongly we felt about this.

No actually I found multiple polls showing more supporting the war in Britain than didn't support it, I also am not trying to claim my country was not involved. Unlike you who claimed in one post it was your PM, not the country, but then in a different post claimed it was the country.

I also did not grab a low poll from one year to show a low poll, then a high poll from a totally different year..

The double standard is squarely on you, I from the beginning said both are guilty, you however chose to claim only the US as in the country was guilty and your PM. 'before you changed it'
    That changes polls how exactly?

1% is still alot less than those who supported it. And did you guys elect the government who decided to spread their empire and kill innocent people along with the US? Were the government officials who supported the war even Brits or was there some sort of underground coupe in the middle of night where your leaders were replaced with exact replicas that were actually American robots that were manufactured in Japan?

Has there ever been a war that didn't have collateral damage of civilians (innocent people)? I see that statement a lot but have been unable to find a war that did not have civilian casualties.

hehehe ( oh btw what does it mean stOx when I start my post with "hehehe" )

the poll itself does not have a meaning, because the people in both countries have been made to believe there is a danger coming from Iraq.

There's always a chance that the ex-dictator comes back.

Saddam had stashed billions of dollars but only a small part has been recovered.

I was being sarcastic when I said "And did you guys elect the government who decided to spread their empire and kill innocent people along with the US? ".
Because I assume he is one of these people who think the US goes around bombing people, half for profit, and half just because it gives us a hardon.

What bothers me particularly about Stox position is that it is hypocritical(in a chauvinistic way) to the core. At least other anti-war people like GRIM and Grillo are consistent. With Stox and many others it's pure hatred and disdain(and I would assert, envy) against the US. Even if we were global marauders bombing and destroying countries for profit, it is illogical to think that somehow we bullied the UK into joining the party with us. After all it was the UK who were the marauders who brutally spread and maintained their empire, even before our country was born. It was the UK in the 50s who got the US to basically be their strong man in a covert operation to topple Iran's elected leader. UK has way more of history of taking part in the actions that he is now accusing our country of bullying them in to.

Dead, he'll be forgotten in a couple of years. Alive and jailed, he would have still probably stirred up some trouble, being the influential evil dictator that he was. Still, I opted for No in the poll, simply because I don't like the idea of a execution in that style (with "audience" that films the "event" and hanged like in the 1300s).

It doesn't "change" anything. But if one percent of the entire population go to the capitol city to demonstrate against soemthing it's a fairly good indicator that people aren't happy with it. What were 1% of americans doing? Polishing their guns and stuffing burgers into their spherical red faces?

    Well done Einstein
The point is 1% of the entire population of my country got up, Come to London, and protested against the war.

Don't use that term, collateral damage. It's a bad one. More civilian Iraqis have died than soldiers and insurgent whatevers. When you kill 5x your INJURED count in civilians, that's a slaughter.

I'd rather they figure out who knew how to play the stock market on 9/11. A massive amount of funds are still being held, and somehow, no one knows or has been able to determine, just who they belong to.

    Strange, ain't it?

Yeah because you can almost compare a percentage of a population in a tiny little country like Great Britain going to one spot compared to that of a country the size of the US. Almost

You might also wish to try the 'spherical red faces' with someone who is in worse shape than you, not the other way around ;)

Kind of makes your points weaker than they already are.

We also had other protests around the country, Something which you guys could have done, if you could find time between imagining bogey men, thinking up new ways to eat cheese and wondering if there remains anything that hasn't yet been wrapped in bacon.

I would be surprised if in america more than 1% of the population expressed anything other than absolute indifference.

We have had multiple protests.

Yet again you might want to take your rips of how Americans eat to someone in worse shape than yourself.

You've made your hatred well known of the US, too bad your country was just as guilty. Sorry you don't like that, but nothing you say even in your own mind will change that fact.

    1. what percentage of america participated in a protest?
    2. Did they take a packed lunch?

lol im just joking about the americans eating thing, it's an easy thing to do and sometimes i can't resist. I have nothing against america or americans, but you sometimes make yourself an easy target. It's hard for a European to look at america sometimes and refrain from sighing and rolling their eyes. It's probably the only thing we and the french have in common besides the Eurotunnel.

He was executed and his accomplices werent?;)
Didnt we help fund him and get him into his former position of power????
How many of the elite were responsible for saddam and his actions? How many times are we going to prop up a dictator, bring him into power, then decide to pull the plug on him before the whole world starts to seriously get tickeddddd offff.

    What would it matter?

Especially since in the states we are not all crammed into a little area, easily able to go and protest. Many of our fine citizens live the distance of several of your country put together from any main city.

Hundreds of thousands protested in the US, it does not change anything.
