Human editing teams are being implemented to monitor websites. You can tangle your way out of detection from crawlers, but human editors will see right through you.

so many people at DP are so clueless when it comes to the SEO BH/WH debate.

We know our sites dont last as long as WH sites. But we make our money fast! Automated systems mean we can recreate anything Google takes away from us in a matter of hours.

I laugh at the 'i never touch blackhat methods' comments but then see the same people ordering 1000 directory submissions, 1000 blog commenting services....

BH techniques are always one step ahead of the rest ... while your complaining because google dropped you a few spots for your main keyword were adding 10k pages for all the long tail traffic you all forget about.

You should learn both sides of the field and it will make you better at whichever side you choose to take. I personally consider myself right in the middle.

Blackhat is only for people who have already managed to understand and learn the basics of Whitehat. It is not for people with limited ideas and uncreative minds and also to people who arent into risks. People who do blackhat should know how the system works. Lets say you will be using Xrumer to post your ads in 100,000 forums a day, a decent BHatter knows that you should never leave a footprint, cloak your IP and NEVER use your main/money domain in posting the ads.

Its fun, you should try it
But before you do that, learn WHITE first

Just posted something very similar here http://blackhat.firetown.com
I don't encourage you getting into it unless you're really dedicated to learning more about it. You either do it or you don't. If you do it, make sure you have some teachers who know what time it is. The links to the forum that I recommend for that are on my post. I myself am not really into it and don't know that much about it, so I rather post a link to those who are.

Another thing to consider with black hat SEO is that, though you may be able to fool a spider, it is harder to fool a human who is out to beat you. I have a friend who could not get his site to beat the 1 SERP site for his keywords. One day while browsing there code to see what they were doing he noticed a position:-1000px attribute. He reported it to google... I week later the site was no more.

Hence cloaking. But yes, fooling human visitors is harder. Mixing WH/GH/BH backlinks can push them back far enough in Yahoo's linkdomain: command that they're not visible.
Cloaking can hide on page elements.
Site networks and blog farms can hide themselves better than anything else in terms of not getting reported though. With a trick at least. ;)

I just wanted to tell you that I'm a big fan of yours shady. I've been following your blog for quite a while. I just wish I had the technical savvy to put a few of your ideas into motion. It's nice to see a true bh guru setting it straight here on DP (dummy point). Keep it up man, and holler at me when you are ready to take on a dummy wanna be pupil. :D

Silly me since I like to sleep well, I stick with white hat. As an SEO provider I would never risk someones business by using questionable methods just to make a quick buck.

But I can understand the black hat perspective. I prefer to be a leader than one step ahead, but that's just me speaking... It's our choice, it's our lifestyle. Yet, it doesn't make us better just different.
