Hello, You can read part 1 here - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=856486 To those who have been following the thread, I have achieved my first milestone. I published the 100th article today. With this, phase one almost comes to an end - What has been achieved so far - 1. Published 100 articles 2. Social Bookmarking (Few posts remaining for submission) 3. Article Marketing at Top directories. 4. Around 100 backlinks built. 5. 80+ posts indexed. It took a little more than 60 days. The extra days were lost due to the fact that for nearly a week, I was traveling. At this point, I want to make certain matters clear. I started off with the aim to build 10 sites on 10 different niches in the short term and expand slowly to 100 sites on 100 different niches. As, I moved along, I realized this really wasn't the way to go. My goals had evolved to the next level, thoughts were already beyond adsense. I wanted to build a network for - 1. Adsense earnings (default) 2. Selling Affiliate Products 3. To achieve an authority status 4. To achieve a pagerank of 7 or 8 in 2 years. 5. A passive income in the long run. So, I shifted the plan for a multi-site network to a single site network(yes, don't be confused). It has worked out very well so far. The next stage is a slow and steady link building campaign. For the next couple weeks, I plan to build 3-5 links everyday from various directories, article sites, blog comments, etc. My medium term goal is 250 posts. Do follow me on my journey. Thanks Al
I have to add here - I will be implementing Adsense one of these days as I think it is time for it. I will update when I have done so.
great thread, been following your other one, though you should post a link at the end of it. what is the difference? and good luck jordan
Great going.. that 60 days went fast!.. The previous thread has been very inspiring and motivational, and I am sure this thread will be the same. So thanks for the last one, and thanks in advance for this one. it is appreciated. Wishing you all the very best. I am sure your motivation and hard work will turn this venture in to a success story. and I can't wait to read about it Cheers James
I'm enthusiastically following your journey from before and I have a thing to add. I don't want to sound like dream crusher to you, but you may want to adjust your pagerank of 8 goal. Websites like Digg and Stumbleupon are being linked from everywhere around the web and they have a pagerank of 8...can you really achieve a PR8 on all the 10 websites you have? Don't get me wrong, it is doable, but you've set a really high target here.

I integrated Google Adsense today. By the way, Google had indexed 80 articles in the morning. When I checked couple hours back, it showed 100+.

If AdSense is to be a major source of income a multi topic site is far from ideal. My sites with one target subject CTR relatively high. My sites with no main target CTR relatively low. I'm sure others will have experienced similar results. I use the targeted AdSense coding, so do everything possible to target AdSense, but content 'bleeds' through to unrelated pages. So even if a page doesn't mention the other topics on the site you still get unrelated ads to your specific content (page by page) which pulls down your CTR. That said SEO wise it's far easier to get one large site into a state to pull in lots of relevant traffic than multiple sites with the same content. So with one site it's easier to get traffic, but harder to convert it via AdSense if it covers lots of subjects David Law
Intersting thread, I'm doing something similar I started in November '07, and my goals were to create some of the biggest sites on the internet in one years time, devoting my spare time to it I'll tell you how it went in 4 months
You don't stand a chance, unless your just copying crap loads of datafeeds etc... I could make a 20,000,000+ site almost over night and add 10s of thousands of pages a day all automated. But would be a rubbish site. Good luck though David Law
