Submitting to google images for traffic?

How do people get their images in google image? Also, how some get good rankings for their images? I don't have a clue.. Any help or suggestion would be fine and appreciated.. Danny

 

I have no idea either, but I get some pretty good traffic from Google Images on one of my sites. I've always used alt tags and descriptive filenames, if that helps. You can check if you have images listed by going to images.google.com and typing site:yoursitename.com

Mine comes up with 60+ indexed images, for whatever reason. (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=site:taylorwilsdon.com&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2)

 

I believe that the Google bot indexes the images when it visits your site.

 

Try submitting ur images to digg.or build backlinks.It may help u.

Seriously, did you try using Google? Just Google "google images optimization" and you'll get more info that you can digest. Amazing the number of people that just want things handed to them without putting any effort into finding the answers for themselves.

Try submitting an image on my image hosting site (link on signature) and make sure to enter some description/tags, this will get it crawled by Google.
