Report the other site directly to google. Contact their hosting service and report them as well.

I have had one of my sites de-indexed for this reason. Someone copied the content of my site (I know mine was original since I wrote it!) and then reported my site to Google..

Make a post, and tell them immediately, and ask them to wait and see if it appears on the other site.

that's unfair. you can contact the owner of the site and ask them to remove your article.

I think you should protect your work by displaying the sign as "Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works" in your footer, you can get the sign through creative commons licensing authority free of cost; http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/us/

Try NOT to deploy Full RSS posts for syndication rather, publish your blog/s using Summarized feeds. That being done will "limit" scrapers from syndicating your full content/articles. They can only copy an excerpt of the original content. This is just to "limit" the crooks but won't really avoid them from stealing your works. Nothing can really stop "copy and paste".

Don't worry about dupe content... promote your site properly.. more quality/related links coming in.. much better.. encourage more reciprocal trackbacks and reader comments.. more RSS subscriptions.. that helps determine that yours is original.

Take it from a BHter - Good luck!

Duh! I'm also facing same problem and I'm not able to find any solution to it. I just hate this. The worst part is he has more links and posts are getting indexed faster than mine.

Contact them by e-mail directly and ask them politely to remove your content as it has been copyrighted. See what they say, if they say anything in the e-mail that proves they are copying your content, use that e-mail and send it to their service provider. That will have them dropped!

As long as you get a link for the article copied from your site, it is okay. Otherwise, the copycats need to be dealt with severe action.

copy scape is better option and also you can put a programming scirpt where no one select and right click - copy your content

You guys are forgetting a few things here.

A new style of copying seems to be to copy parts from multiple websites and then clobber together a full website from them.

Also, changing the content a little.

Nobody seems to have an answer yet, that's why I asked where is the link on Google to report copied content, let Google reviewers judge for themselves and dispense the appropriate punishment for these offending websites.

    That would be best.

I've been reading this with a lot of interest and I'm pretty new to blogging. I've just started a health blog with very well researched articles and I'd hate for them to be copied by anyone. Isn't there anyway to stop the cut and paste, the way you can do it to protected photographs, that the clicks get disabled on that page ? I'm not so good with technology so wondering. Thanks In advance.
