I can't find where to close my account. I've received no response to my forum question and just 3 spam messages.
You can't close your account and you can't make a new one. If you no longer want to be at dp you can just leave, no need to close the account. May I ask why you needed to in the first place? Daniel
I can't believe it that you want to leave DP... If you are receiving spam in PM then forward it to moderator...
You've only made 1 post (other than the one above) - you asked a question regarding MP3 playback on a webmaster forum (in December!), and you're complaining that you didn't receive a response? You're not giving us much of a chance Maybe you need to try a more appropriate forum.
I was thinking that.. but still he posted in Graphics & Multimedia when general chat would have generated some replies.
Well, it's August now and I still have only received one response to my original post. No, my RAM is not a problem. And, yes, I HAVE A NEW LAPTOP NOW. So my original post is no longer an issue as I no longer have the laptop! I want to leave b/c I only get spam PMs sent to me and don't need this forum anymore. When I have an issue with my new laptop, I have a protection plan PLUS a department of tech guys at my school who will assist me. One of the perks of your school requiring a laptop. I've never received spam PMs when being a member of a forum group. This is just ridiculous. So I can't close my account? That's even more ridiculous.
If you wanted to leave, why did you come back to read this thread? If you want out, just walk away and never come back. We won't chase you.
Just take all the email notifications off you account and it will continue to get 3 spams a year from DP but you will be blissfully unaware because you do not get any notifications.
Come on..... We can read what is on your mind. You want to close your account and then create a new account right? If the rules say you can't delete an account, then you can't. You only receive a couple of spam PM.... but you sound like receiving thousand of it. If you don't like DP.... just get away from it.
I advise you do not delete your account. Take some more days and you get good response from here. I give you guarantee. First you read rules of this forum also. Good luck to you.
Just don't visit dp, if you can't and just really need to delete your account from dp, you can do one thing, just break your laptop and buy new one, and then bang your head against the wall 100 times enough for you to forget your username and password, I'm sure you will not have any account at dp again unless you create another one.
Stop using it, or send a request for all your information to be removed off file under the Data protection act 1998.
