Hi, I have a site, which is about 6 months old. It currently has about 1500 back links, over various quality. The highest pr link, as far as I know, is a couple pr 7 links. All links are highly relevant. Currently my site is ranking 1-4 for targeted keywords. My question is, can I safely forget about this site, and have it continue with the current momentum and success? I haven't done anything to the site in 45 days, and the daily uniques are still increasing, up to almost 500 a day now. Should I continue to actively develop new content and links, or just let it age and start the next one?
Once you find out that more links are comming from people who are linking to you with out being asked to, then they do from you building the links yourself. This would be a safe place to stop, but you must still keep checking that your links are growing. This is a great tool for checking the number of links back to your site. http://smartpagerank.com/pagerank-backlinks.php
that is a great tool. thanks. it isn't probably getting the PR though, shows 0 for everything. i like the anchor text feature and the nofollow feature though.
You can stop link building for your main keywords, but you can also expand your hits by writing content for and building links with anchor text for long tail keywords... Also, if you feel it safe to quit, if only for a while, start focusing on the ones in your signature, as those don't rank in the top 50 at all for the main keywords.

I think you meant http://www.contextual-style.com/ I don't want to buy links though, not at this point. I have spent $0 promoting my sites from the beginning.
http://smartpagerank.com/pagerank-backlinks.php doesn't work properly, it shows all links as "No" for NoFollow I like this one better http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/
If you ever stop link building your ranks will slowly drop down and so will your daily uniques. Remember, pages with your links can easily loose their weight because they are out of date, get panelized by google or any other thing.
you need continue adding links to your site. the only reason you could stop buliding links is that people doing that for you(you must have good content so that people can link to your site)
the answer is never. once you reach the pick, you can slow down or pause for a while but you need to keep building links. unless you have site which is pretty popular where people link to you naturally on a regular basis
