Police shoot people all the time that they have ordered to stop. What does stop or I'll shoot mean? :D

Child molester's do get off because of people crying about how the punishment is to harsh. The Grand Jury chose correct. You are in the minority on this subject. Texas citizens are behind Joe Horn and consider him a law abiding citizen and that the Grand Jury made the correct decision.

Most people would do nothing because they are cowards.

It's great that a person can defend their family, neighbor, or neighborhood. I think that in today’s society most people would coward and do nothing. Most people arguments about the robbers have been absolutely ridiculous. Joe Horn did nothing wrong. Everyone is still arguing are playing devils advocates or either making a martyr out of the felons. Opponents of Texas law argue that it violates human rights, leads to the executions of 2 illegal immigrants in the act of committing a crime, and discriminates against minorities and the poor. It seems that both sides make their proper points in supporting one of those decisions, but a compromise can not be reached. It is not uncommon for criminals to be made a martyr and to gain support after courts rule against them. People exhibiting the martyr complex support the martyr and have great difficulty in laws and oppose authority, not for any good reason, but just because of their perceived issues. People with the martyr complex complain always and relentlessly, lie and twist facts to prove perceived points, selectively forget, ignore or avoid any facts that may conflict with their point and resort to name-calling when everything else fails. Mr. Horn did nothing wrong no matter how the fact and laws are twisted. Justice has prevailed and Texas Law was upheld.

I have people I admire and its not dead felons.

Any law that allows regular citizens to enforce the law as they see fit while potentially taking others lives is retarded. Just as putting cops on the street with no training would be retarded.

If you're talking about me, I didn't call anyone names, I called the law retarded. And it is.

"resort to name-calling when everything else fails." Name calling just shows ignorance. Attacking anyone with name calling does not make you right and you are still wrong and in the minority. Texas law was upheld no matter if you disagree or not.

Dude, I didn't attack you. If you really think I did then you lack debt and analysis or however you wrongly worded that repeatedly, earlier in this thread.

I seriously doubt that. I'm probably not even in the minority if you polled Texans.

There is a controversy in Texas, but the population thing Joe Horn is a hero by a 2 to 1 margin.

This was a professional poll by a well respected organization and not some anecdotal unscientific poll? Source?

There you go again spewing insults (lack debt and analysis) exhibiting the classic martyr complex.

The people in Texas were polled and you are in the minority. I guess your will be you don't like the results because most people don't agree with you and was not conducted by you. Classic martyr complex again.

Source? And please I'm not looking for a web poll or radio or tv call-in poll. I'm looking for a scientifically conducted one.

    You got that right :)

    The Police weren't doing anything.

If Joe Horn was there on 9/11 the World Trade Towers would still be standing.

You're mistaking a martyr complex for a basic understanding of statistics and data gathering. You are exhibiting a debt of analparalysis.

Most opponents of the ruling are displaying classic martyr complex without basic understand and lack of logic.

The outcry should be against the police on this thread not Joe Horn. If the cop would have stepped out of the car and intervened we would not be having this discussion.

He was not following procedure. Ask a Police officer in your area if you live in the US or Texas. You have never seen me write that word.

Their "procedure" may have also been influenced by the knowledge that there was a yahoo with a shotgun next door to the crime scene who was implying to the 911 dispatcher that he would shoot the suspects. If I was a cop pulling up in that situation I'd be worried as hell, it just got like 100x more complicated.
