Using Orkut Communities to increase traffic

I own a community in orkut with 9400+ members: http://www.orkut.co.in/Community.aspx?cmm=435247 (need a orkut account to view the site)

I get lot of traffic like this...I mainly get steady traffic from Brazil and India because of this...

EDIT : oh u mean orkut.com ? Thats a social networking site thats really popular in Brazil and India.

 

No wonder it's new to me, heard of it last month from this site.

 

yep, orkut is great for those looking for brasilian and indian traffic. its hard to monetize that traffic, but traffic is traffic

Well my blog is in perfect topic with the community... So discussions never die off... The interesting part is most of the time people(in that community ofcourse) talk about the latest news quoting my blog....

Oh I forgot to mention on more thing... See those related community... They are paid (I ask for $5/month) to be up there... Plus I also advertise link Defencetalk.com paid me $45/month to put up their link...

Orkut is google's social network. They should really advertise it more in the US.

I want to know whether the traffic from orkut is targeted? Do you monetize your site with adsense and if so, do you get decent returns with the traffic from orkut?

 

Don't post http or www in ur link... otherwise u wil tracked by google

 

I really did not care of monetizing all I wanted was a steady traffic from Brazil and India... I get US traffic from search engines since I have some high PR posts.

Spamming???? I did not spam anyone... My blog and that community is perfectly related... I created that community and the blog (separately) just for fun but I got this ides so why not??
