How effective is entrecard

Recently, I read blogs about entrecard.

I would like to know the pros and cons of entrecard.

 

You can increase your traffic but it requires effort, and the quality of the traffic is questionable. Best thing to do is sign up, put the widget on your blog and see if it works for you.

 

Personally, I think there are better ways to improve traffic without taking up potential valuable ad space in your sidebar

entrecard is a great tool. I use it to buy ad space on other blogs. Why use money when I can drop 300 a day right after 12am and I know about 140 will drop on my blog which gives me 440 credits a day.

For most blogs, the blogger will accept 3,000 credits for a month ad on his/her blog.

you will send more people away from your site than you will get back and the traffic you get back is less targeted. There is too many people abusing the system for it to be worthwhile using.

it depends on the quality of the blog.if its nice then people will stay and come back again

 

im a regular dropper, but i only drop abt 5~7 sites per day. but i usually stay abt 3-5mins per site and see if the site is worth a bookmark/re-visit. i get abt the same amt of drops each day as well, although it tends to be a bit more sometimes. traffic-wise, not much, but its a great resource for nice blogs. ive discovered quite a few blogs that are interesting and very informative. however, if your main interest with entrecard is to get traffic, there are other ways of getting better, quality traffic than entrecard.

 

The problem with the entrecard system is that the system is badly abused by many these days , it is a good yhought system but users must understand that if they just hunt points it will jurt the system and the quality of the traffic they receive from those points will be near to 0.

It seems to me that it is just bloggers looking at other peoples blogs. Systems like that do little to provide non-webmaster traffic.
At least in my opinion, besides, I agree, not worth wasting the real estate for other bloggers ads, when you can put money ads or affiliate links there, that make cash money.

increasing traffic -yes, but most entrecard users just drop and click your business cards with taking time to read your blog.

Bloggers should not use entrecard for traffic. The traffic is a waste of bw.

 

Personally, it's not that effective. I mean, you'll get introduced to a bunch of blogs and stuff but your bounce rate will skyrocket and the average Entrecarder spends less than 10 seconds on your site... usually drop and dashers... you should read http://www.datmoney.com/2008/03/if-you-didnt-have-entrecard-your-blog.html and if people get a LOT of traffic, it doesn't mean it's good traffic, you know?

 

I agree with you. Entrecard should only be used as a tool. That's why I made a post about how you should use it as a tool. Everybody that Follow what I said in the post will be making 440+ daily and have lots of ec credits to buy private ad slots on other blogs.
