"We're going to stand against anyone who attempts to throw roadblocks or hurdles between lawful Americans and this fundamental right." Barack Obama received a discounted home loan in 2005, along similar lines to that received by a former adviser to his campaign who was forced to resign after it became public I guess loan rules do not apply to Obama.
I don't understand. What part about Obama don't you like? Is it the: Global Poverty Act where makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations. Or is the rollback of the Bush Tax Cuts Or maybe the way he votes against the border fence but supports a new immigration policy? How about the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act of 2007? Maybe his positions on accepting public financing? Something you don't like about Government Health Care? I really like the way that he promises to increase taxes on corporations. That way they will adjust their prices and pass the tax on to us. Maybe his promise to not raise taxes on those making under 250,000? Those rich bastards are really gonna have to pay for EVERYTHING! Wow, what is wrong with you?
I don't like Obama either but come on the interest thing is pathetic. You're going to rip on the guy who had to get a home loan, but not the guy who is so rich he does not simply because he worked out a SLIGHTLY better rate than the average? I myself worked out a better rate than average, to me that's a smart thing. As long as there was no corruption involved one would think a leader who does not pay sticker price or over on items would be a good thing. Then again the several thousand dollar toilet seats are loved by some I guess.
Lol I love all the topics made on this forum that seem to come from peoples junk mail folders. The interest rate he received was like 0.2% less than the average interest rate at the time. Huge conspiracy! The only thing I don't like right now is his support of the FISA bill.
I couple of gay choir boys from the trinity church have turned up dead and there have been 'McGreevy type rumors' about Obama.
I'm not American, but Barack Obama is just creepy and is full of himself. He's not running to help his country, he's running to make the history and it gives him a hard on. If you vote Barack Obama in, come to this thread for proof that he will have brought no change.
What really "angered" me about Obama was during a Democratic debate when he said he would raise taxes for the rich (those making $200,000 or) even if that would decrease federal tax revenue, "because it was fair." So it's fair to tax the so-called "rich" of their hard earned money they made on the free market even when doing so will (potentially) decease federal tax revenue and hurt the economy as a whole? Makes perfect sense, that does.
Obama's economic policies will cripple the US economy. Raise taxes on businesses and they will either pass the taxes on to us, or create a foreign subsidiary taking the cash out of the US economy. Raise taxes on the rich and they will not invest as much back into our economy. Remember the luxury tax? The Luxury tax put an extra tax on expensive cars and boats. The rich quit buying expensive cars and boats. It crippled the ship building industry and was later repealed. So where will the money come from for all of his socialist programs?
Where does all the money come from for all of Bush's spending? I don't like Obama either but to pretend like Bush or republicans are any better is simple dreadful. He also 'Obama' stated something about tax breaks or something for companies who keep jobs in the country, no clue what that's about, but before stating things you might want to know all the facts 'going to your point about jobs going out of the US'
Sorry, did I mention Geoge Bush or Republicans? No, I don't think so. I agree that Bush has screwed things all up! Right now I am looking for the lesser of two evils. No I don't think so, but I could be wrong. Can you document this?
Did I say that you did, however you are as you stated 'looking for the lesser of two evils' based off of items that do not add up as the republicans are just as guilty if not more so when it comes to spending beyond our means. Well do a few searches, I am not a pro Obama individual, I however do like to know facts and not fiction. His TV ads running right now state as much, it is also being discussed around the web, news papers articles, etc.
So what do you propose to do...not raise anyones taxes and increase the Trillion Dollar deficit that Bush has run up paying for an illegal war that was started with forged intelligence, or tax people making under $100,000 a little more, and let everyone else off scott free. We should all pay our fair share..what he is meaning to target are corporations that have befitted from breaks for the last 8 years. There is no reason that companies that have benefited from legislation that have allowed them to stockpile billions, should not start to pay more. The break was already given at the beginning of this administration...time to get it back..it was asinine then. Just as asinine as a stimulus check, and the child tax credit...all smoke screens.
isn't it just a pattern Republicans spend like crazy, then when they get kicked out a Democrat has to raise taxes to pay for it, and they get made out to be the bad guy
Well, that's not exactly true. Republicans like small govenrment and lower taxes. And then there's George Bush. I cannot support anything about him, beyond the tax cut. He grew government and did not pay for it. Then there's NAFTA.
McGreevy was the democratic governor of New Jersey that appointed a foreigner as director of New Jersey Homeland Security. The foreigner was unable to get security clearance and later file a gay sexual harassment against McGreevy that caused him to resign in disgrace.
Obama has flipped flopped on off shore drilling again. He changes what he believes in more than most people change shirts.
I'm voting Obama because i know theres no need to fund the military, anymore to abuse a nation that has already been defeated and rebuilt. I think that global warming is a huge scandal, and thats another story, that i wont even get into.. I want our troops to come home, i want free health care, i want a president that's not going to pass away a week after he gets in office, and yes, i want to make history for voting in the first black president. I have to admit, McCain doesn't seem to be all that cool, he has a gold digging wife that takes no part in his campaigning really. He wants to stay in Iraq for what? If you only knew what is going on over there. Some people need to open their eyes, and stop looking at color, and actually care about world issues. I see this election definitely going to Obama, and that will make me happy. He swore on the Koran.. so what? is this a country where we hate people who practice a different religion than our own? He may not have as much experience as McCain, but hes promising a whole lot more than McCain is. If this country votes for McCain, we will be better off with bush back in office. Nothing will change, mark my words. Mccain has lifeless beady eyes too, that freaks me out more than Obama dusting off his shoulders. Its just so funny to see how people look at Obama and give ignorant, irrelevant facts, and excuses why they don't want to vote for him. Some people amuse me..
I am well out of touch with American Politics. But I do know there is always people behind a US politician. Who backs this dude?
