I would like to tell you about a project I have setup with my partner, after recently graduating from University. Our project is to re-create the dictionary, but instead of using word definitions, we use your website links.
We are looking for the support of businesses who may be interested in being part of our project. The aim of the project is to build a business directory based around a fun concept, in an attempt to promote businesses who are a part of the project. We have already received great feedback from people letting us know about their increase in traffic since being a part of our project.
The way it works is very simple. Choose a word related to your business, check if it is available and then link that word to your website
Words that you have defined are then yours for life and are exclusive to you (Competitors cannot define the same word).
Potential customers will then be able to click on your word(s) which will take them to your website. We see this as targeted marketing for you.
Words you define will be randomly featured on our homepage, will be placed in our latest words section and will be added to our dictionary which users can browse and search through. Words can now be categorised, making it even easier for them to find your business.
To get involved in our project or for more information, please visit http://www.projectword.co.uk.

the idea is pretty unique, but Wikipedia took your wheels from the car :D
And besides that, every word you add is an outgoing link.
To many outgoing links, and you website will graduate the Link Farm University :(

But yes, the idea is pretty unique and I like it :)

What is this project different than this script: wordstagscript.com ? ...like hyper says this will become a link farm website and Google will really "hate you" :D

In the last seven days you've started five separate threads promoting the same site; you should take a moment to read the posting guidelines and try to avoid creating duplicate threads in different sub-forums.

Threads such as this one belong in the Solicitations and Announcements sub-forum.

Best of luck with your new project.

How is your site different from all the other buy a word sites? I searched google for the phrase "Buy a word and redefine it to your website!" and I found loads of them.

We categorize the words making it easy for the user to find what they want.

In response to your comment "downunder", it is true that the toyota word is not really relevant to its website. Although this is a minority case, the majority of businesses want to link relevant words to attract relevant customers.

In response to your comment "hyper" we have already done things to avoid the link farm status and are working on more things. We are pretty sure that our outgoing links we be a bonus with google, this will be due to contextual links. We will be seen as more of a search engine than link farm

In response to your comment "Creed", I do apologize about this, I didn't read the guidelines in the first place, thanks.

The website is different because it is. We are constantly developing new idea, new promotions and new designs. You can expect to see much more from us.

Thank you all for your comments. I welcome all comments, good or bad.

    Regards

The point being as visitor i want to find relative sites to these words, now if i don't then i wont return, then your advertisers wont have any customers.

with the theory ther i could add coca cola and link my sex toys as an example

    Hi,
Yes, I understand your point. But my point is that the majority of people will not define random words, they will define words that are related, to bring in customers that are related to there business. I take your point on board but related words will far outweigh non related words.

We also have the development of a contextual search in place, so if somebody searches for cococola, it may be the case that the word cococola is not placed as the number one result as website keywords will also be taken into account. In this example, the keywords "sextoys" or "sex" will not have an affect against the cococola search.

Im am thinking of implementing a similar system to define the categories of peoples defined words. This would completely eliminate the issue you mentioned.

    Thank you for your comments
Let me know what you think
    :)
