secure downloads on clickbank?

    Hi,

I finished my book and want to sell it but when I go to Clickback all it has is a "enter Your Thank You page with download info"

    Not great security for downloads!

I have a paypal IPN software that provides brilliant security (generated passwords, download pages, encryption etc.) but I suppose that's not compatible with clickbank.

How do you sell your products on ClickBank safely - without letting just anyone google the /thankyou.html page and download it without paying?

    Thanks in advance

Try searching using the terms digital delivery clickbank.

There are also services, rather than scripts, such as e-junkie.com

Some easy things that you can implement are:

    - Add this Meta Tag to your download page so that the search engines do not index it:

    <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">

Its used to prevent all robots from indexing a page on your site, you'd place the following meta tag into the <HEAD> section of your page

    - Put your download page in a subdirectory like: http://www.yoursite.com/gttyhg5eftg/thankyoupage.html

This way it will be very difficult (if not impossible) to guess.

Keep in mind that the buyer can always request a refund and get his money back while keeping the product. He can also send it to others as well. So the security is pretty compromised and we cant do much about it - if someone really want your product for free they will find a way anyways.

I wouldnt spend too much time if i were you on this, especially if you implement the above. But if you want to go further you can use the download protectors send by the other guys. Always be sure that they are set up properly and are working properly, the last thing you want is that a paying customer requesting a refund becuase he can't download the product that just payed for.

    Cheers :)

All you can secure without getting the customer annoyed is the download page. After that, you can put a password on your files, make it open from one IP address only, and request a login. Doing that has a name - getting a refund quickly.

You can, however, protect the download page in many ways. There are many programs, as others suggested here, and there is also ClickBank's own security system which you can find on their publisher tools. I use them, and now I can nearly guarantee that no one will download my eBook without paying first.

They are both way too expensive. I don't get how the Clickbank default security works - so I'll probably try Lock it Now. it's most affordable. Don't know if it's as good as it claims to be though.

Depends on needs, see the e-junkie price list to make sure they fit your need but the idea is on a popular product, you are keeping your hosting bandwidth lower and not interfering with downloads due to a busy server.
