Kind of late in the game to do that don't you think? The neo-cons got what they wanted which was a never ending war in Iraq, the USA is bankrupt, so if Osama is dead or alive makes little difference at this point. He accomplished his mission which was to divide this country and bankrupt it.

Well, it is sad for the victims of 9/11 and the thousands of soldiers in Afghanistan. However, I don't understand the rationale of the White House. What excuse do they have to make such a decision?

Plus he's a very good boogeyman to be wheeled out in dodgy videos every now and then to keep the sheeple living in fear.

It's possible that the Administration knows his whereabouts and may wait until about October to "suddenly" find and "capture" him as a ploy to score points for the Republicans with the voters.

However, he's just as useful to the Repbulicans where he is now. Whenever Osama opens his mouth, Americans fall all over themselves running to hide behind the "tough" neo-cons. vs. the "soft on terror" Democrats. That's what happened in the last presidential election, and it will likely happen again this year.

It is unbelievable, even though it is ABC news, this article lacks credibility in my opinion. It is stating that Bin Laden is in Pakistan, as if that is a fact, and our government knows this. Then it is announcing to the world that the pentagon and white house are in a squabble about whether we should go on a mission to get him in Pakistan or not. Of course we would want to announce this so that Bin Laden would have plenty of time to find a new hiding place? Then in same article they go on to report a rumor with no actual proof that we are spending 400 million on covert operations in Iran. All I'm saying, is I wouldn't necessarily believe everything ABC news reports.

So where do you think Osama would be if not in Pakistan or Afghanistan? Paris, Rome, New York?

He could be anywhere, or even nowhere. It is possible he is dead. Bin Laden has so much money, he could have had plastic surgery, a bath, and a good hair cut to alter his appearance. Perhaps he is working as a runway model in Paris. I don't know.

Of course you don't. Do you even believe for one second that the most powerful country in the world, with the best technology in the world, with satellites that can read a font size 12 on your computer monitor from space can not find the most so called wanted man on earth? Give me a break!

Why would they try to catch him, he is the biggest excuse for invading any country in the world.

You might hear in the future that OBL went China to hide using the Karakurum Range.

I wonder if he all-terrained his Kidney Dialysis machine so he could walk the mountain paths and investigate impact craters from the bombs.

Yeah, I could even believe that for one second. I don't see the government as being all powerful and all knowing. If they were, they would rename the "FBI's Most Wanted List" to the "FBI's list of captured bad guys because we can read font size 12 on your computer."

I like that phrase you coined "FBI's list of captured bad guys . He is as elusive as a Ghost." If he is still alive?
