I need an autoresponder service, and I know the name of three providers of this service, namely Aweber, Email Aces and Get Response. Which is the best (I need a straightforward, userfriendly service).
    Thank you. :)

I don't usually use auto-responders, but aWeber has been consistently referred to me as the best auto-responder out there...

And I don't know if you've noticed, but about 99.999999% of all mailing lists out there are powered by aWeber...

I recommend Aweber. I've used both getreponse and aweber and like aweber much better.

I use a locally hosted script, it has all the features and I don't pay a penatly for having a huge number of subscribers.

If you can install PHP and MySql, that's the way to go. That is, if you're into DIY.

I think we're saying the same thing, I just want to be clear.

When I say locally hosted, I mean local to me. I control the host. I am in control of my list, My web host, my mySQl database, my clock, my responsibility etc.

That's one of the reason I wrote the program the way I wrote it.

You can also take a look at these 2 new autoresponder services i found out from google search:
    zoomresponse
    DirectResponders

They are offering lot of services at very reasonable rate. I am currently checking them out and they seem to be fine until now.

But if you are only interested in those 3 autoresponder services, go for Getresponse. It also has good deliverability and is easy to set up. I am using it currently for my list.
