    The same thing happened to me.. I jumped from 46 to 8 for the evening..
    I think when they do these updates, sanbox restrictions are removed, everything is rebuilt, and the restrictions put back in.

    You are mistaken, the google.cn only shows results relevant to China. Doesn't necessarily have to be in Chinese Language though. They implemented this in China and Taiwan to compete better with Baidu.com

    Two of my sites saw an increase in PR. I saw the increase at the toolbar and also checked digpagerank and other PR checkers. One went from 3 to 4 and the other one from 2 to 3. But i really dont know how reliable these pr checkers are nowadays.

    He is trying to say that within a single search term, he got two different SE results within same SE datacenter. So he thought Google updated its indexes.

    Just be patient and wait for the update if it is coming. There is no advantage of knowing (or thinking you know) its coming.

    Yup, my SERP as been dancing from 20 to 4th, then 11, then 8 for a major keyword. Sure bring more traffic in.
