I was wondering if everyone really does buy a new top level domain name for each article and product they promote through ezinearticles. Right now I haven't made any money through Article marketing but would really like to, but I can't seem to justify shelling out $10 on a domain for each new product I want to promote with EA. I know it doesn't seem like a lot but it adds up especially if I can't seem to find a way to make money with it. I have one article through EA that I submitted about a month ago that I purchased a domain for and so far that article has done nothing for me. Its brought in a measly 7 pageviews. ~JJ~
Lol no, personally I've never bought a domain just for the sake of redirecting it. Just point it to a presell page, you can set that up on a free platform like blogger or squidoo. Good luck!
First of all you don't need to buy a domain for every article, but in case if you want to, you can get cheap .info domains for like $2, instead of .com Secondly, follow lemonarian's advice. You have to submit ARTICLES to Ezine, not products reviews. That's a huge difference. I actually was making this mistake some time ago, and I recently realized, that I was doing something wrong. So here's how it works: Your article on Ezine > Redirect to Squidoo, Hubpages, Blogger or anywhere else, where you got your product review(landing page) > after reading your review, customers go to the merchant's page.
Cool... Thanks that really helps me out. Thats kinda what's been holding me back in the way of writing articles.
No. I think that's a horrible idea. I think you are much better off directing traffic to your own landing pages that pre-sell the products instead of just sending them directly to the CB products anyway - that just doesn't make any sense to me. For one thing it wastes the SEO aspect of article writing, for another thing you'll have higher conversions pre-selling (if you can create a decent landing page) for a third thing, you'll save a lot of money by not having to buy a different domain for every product you promote.
If you don't want to buy domain why not redirect it from blogger blog. It's free so you can use the budget on other things like outsourcing articles. Just replace all the code at the template section with this: <style type="text/css"> #navbar-iframe { height:0px; visibility:hidden; display:none } </style> <html> <head> <title><$BlogPageTitle$></title> <iframe style="border: 0px none ; overflow: auto; width: 100%; height: 100%" src="INSERT AFFILIATE LINK HERE"> </iframe> </body> </html>
How would the article and product review differ? I'm having a tough time distinguishing the two from each other. Could someone show me an example of an article that I would submit to EA and an product review I'd have on my blog? Sorry if this is a dumb question...
Product review is the review of a product you are promoting....Let's say if it's Water4Gas, then you would talk about the download package consists of, what the benefits of purchasing it, how would it affect your car mileage, etc. If promoting water4gas, then your article should be about saving fuel, car mileage, how to run car on water.....Do you get the idea? Articles, basically are all topics related to your niche. Product review is simply the review of your product.
I'd use a domain which doesn't cover a certain genre at first, so something like reviews.com (example) and if I got sales on the specific product, i'd purchase a domain related to the product, as long as it's cashing out it's worth cashing in.
You don't need a domain, just make a landing page on a free domain, and put the link in the Ezine Articles. I buy a domain for every product I seriously try to sell. I don't sell 700, I sell 3-4 products and make a good campaign for them. If I sell one product I'll get 20-30$ on average, the top level domain registration is only 8.5$ , So I will bring back my investement several times with just 1 single sale. A top level domain just looks more professional to me. If you don't like spending 8.5$ on a .com domain, buy a info domain for 2 bucks. I would suggest, if you're promoting a lot of products, just register a domain for the ones that sell well, for the ones that don't, just stick to a free domain. 8.5$ = A couple of burgers and some fries and a Coke OR a .com domain Would I eat a really unhealthy meal for 8.5$ , or register a domain which wouldn't affect my health in any negative manner? well... the answer is pretty obvious I think
