actually LCD has way slower refresh rate, if you want crispness, go with TFT, unless your paying over 1k for an LCD thats top of the line HD
r u so sure about that .. then prove it.. is there any kind of a game that u can not play with a LCD monitor.. unless of cause with the ancient ones.. almost every LCDs that manufacture today got higher refresh rates.. can play any game without blurring.. cheers
LCD will go a long way in terms of less power consumption, eye friendly nature and less desk top space consumption. But when it comes to color combination and appearance, I like CRTs
And it consumes less power than that of CRT Get a HDTV so that you can use it as TV and LCD Monitor (all in one). I have samsung 19'' widescreen and i am luving it. I can connect 5 inputs at the same time including playstation3. It costs about $500.
Obviously LCD. Normal monitors affect eyes very much as they work on cathode ray method in which 40% is emitted outside. Where as in case of LCD there is no such case. But one should remain careful of the liquid in the screen as it is highly poisonous.
i just bought this LG L1900e. If anyone else got it then i would like to know what is the best contrast and brightness setting for this one. thanks
Get LCD hands down. I wouldn't even go under 17" nower days. I see people with 2x 30" and 2x 19" almost on a daily basis now.
Of course LCD. I spend more than 5 hours / day on my computer. If I didn't have LCD , I would be blind now!! LCD is better than CRT in all ways. colors, not taking space, good looking, fast refreshes, no radiation, less power consuming, ...
of course I prefer LCD monitor rather than standard monitor, LCD is much more clearer and better rather than the standard monitor!
LSD for sure Do they even make screens smaller than 17"? I know there are special 5-7" screens for cash registers, but most of the computer shops don't even have (or have very limited choice of) 17" screens anymore.
LCD is the best monitor get. Why go back to CRT, thats the same as saying that you want to watch TV in black/white instead of Hi-Definition.
