I have these occurences frequently now.. Some days I would have a similar amount of traffic and clicks and make 4 dollars or so. I just updated my htaccess file, so I will see if thats where the invalid clicks are coming from. Do they not count clicks from certian countries?
Roughly how many is a bunch of clicks? > 5 or > 10? There are several factors that may lead to you getting 4 cents only, it may not necessarily be due to click fraud. There are times I have sites that gets almost no clicks and sometimes when they do, sometimes I get just 1 click with 0 cents. Not sure why that happened. 1 click can't really be considered as an invalid click. I believe that could be a problem on their side. Most of the time invalid clicks with no earnings reported back triggers only when a particular user clicks on a lot of your ads, or they accidentally double click on the same ad twice. Other factors such as most multiple visitors clicking on the ads and immediately clicking back could also result in low earnings 1 cent or none reported per click. Also if the traffic users who comes from China or Iran and click on your ads, you can get as low as 1 cent or sometimes none at all I realized. And sometimes public service ads could have appeared on your proxy site as most proxy site have little/no content and that could trigger PSA ads to appear which does not pay for any clicks. So you see..many factors to determine invalid clicks. Find out which factors is contributing to it and then work on them, needa tweek here and there to get good eCPM. Many a times its due to the traffic country source I feel. With good US traffic your clicks can go up to $1-2 per click normally.
Yeah, I know that multiple clicks could happen, though this has been pretty frequently. The range of clicks I get is around 8-15 daily, sometimes more.. I am going to try and upload a htaccess file to all my sites and block china and iran traffic. Any other countries I should look out for? Also, the .htaccess file goes into the public_html directory, correct? As for public service ads, I don't think I have any, my main source of traffic is at http://ipcloak.org , and it looks as though there are none? Reguardless, how would I change my adsense profile to reject public service ads?
BoldProxy.com Proxy Site is fixed now. site details. PR4! decent google natural search traffic! Submit your proxies now!
Can I make suggestion guys, when you make topsites. don't use domains with the word "proxy" in the url. Its okay once of twice. But if you put like 20 topsite links on your page with the word proxy in it, its gets the shit blocked.
yes, nice suggestion. BoldProxy.com is an old domain, hence the PR4. i have a few new domains with no proxy on domain that are on the works.
I agree mate, it's something stupid Like www.mwolk.com is much better (I receive 15% of all my traffic from there) so 15% is more than nothing (I only receive like 10% from proxy.org) Greetz
Well since I changed host, I can't actually see it, but I think it cares for +50 uniques per day (in holiday, so that's good ) Greetz
Ok that's quite nice, are you only using proxy.org and mwolk? If you use more of these sources please share them with us
Well mate, I can tell you that proxy.org and mwolk.com give me most EXTRA traffic... But yeah I have some others... http://www.azproxies.com/ gives me much traffic too but that's because I'm tier 2 listed And you can view more here: http://www.bashblocks.info/ But let us say, that from 50% of all links, we only get 2 uniques a day which is nothing ... Greetz
You'll find that phishers use your proxy to hide the origin of their hosted page. They will turn off the URL box option on proxied pages, so it appears as the site is hosted on your domain. This means its hard for the average web user to differentiate between something you're hosting to something you are simply mirroring off another site. Some email companies also try to hold you accountable if someone uses your proxy to spam from their web-based email service. You're best bet is to just accept to blacklisting/ban, it is part of the proxy business after all.
Put a clear TOS or Disclaimer saying that you are not responsible for anything.. Yeah, seriously, put a disclaimer or something on your site. [EDIT] lol..xternall, we have the same thought..
Has anyone seen any of the CRAP listed on Tech-Faq for today? http://www.tech-faq.com/new-proxies.shtml
LoL, than it's like a party... we are not responsible for accidents.... that's what they put on their flyers... But in fact they are Even if they put that on that site But yeah, in proxies it's a bit different...
